Nextcloud-Desktop: Crash Boom Bang Seit dem Update von 33.07 auf 34.01 stürzt die App bei mir direkt nach dem Start ab, wird von systemd neu gestartet und der Spaß wiederholt sich endlos (mittlerweile bereits 618 Mal - oops). Nextcloud Updater:

Da ich bei meiner Homeserver-Nextcloud gerade das Update auf 34.0.2 vorgenommen habe: hier mal, wie einfach das ist

im Admin-Bereich "Updater öffnen"
dieser nimmt Wartungsmodus, Backup, Aufräumarbeiten usw. vor, auch den Download des Updates
Bei den kleinen Versionssprüngen läuft die Nextcloud wieder noch ein paar Minuten

Hat noch jemand das Problem, dass der #Nextcloud Desktop Client unter #MacOS seit dem letzten (oder vorletzten?) Update keine Dateien mehr hochlädt/updatet? Neu installieren bzw ab- und anmelden hat keinen Erfolg gebracht, auf anderen Systemen funktionieren die Clients problemlos.

Problem identifiziert, der "File Provider" ("Dateianbieter" auf Dt.) war scheinbar das Problem. Deaktiviert und auf normale Ordnersynchronisation umgeschaltet, nun gehts wieder. Dafür muss gefühlt die Hälfte der knapp 100GB aus der Cloud neu runtergeladen werden. *sigh* #nextcloud #macos

@cidney@mastodon.gamedev.place I enthusiastically recommend Nextcloud. I think it will have a lot of the features you're looking for. Talk = Discord/Slack. Not as many features but has voice and video calling, which is rare for selfhosted apps. Forum = Yep, it can do forums with the same users as all the other apps you install. Forms = Surveys! Office = Office suite with apps you'd expect I'm sure there are options for email blasts too. Every file made by each app is shareable. Sharing new betas or patches is super easy. And one advantage it has over almost every other app is you can talk to and interact with users who don't wish to make an account. No more dark web! It's not perfect and it's simplistic sometimes but I made one to replace a Discord and have been having a blast on it. #Nextcloud #discordalternatives #discordmigration #discordisoverparty #matrixorg #irc

I have no expectations that there will be lots of native #Sailfish OS applications - just logging those I had some hopes for. No #Nextcloud app No #Proton apps I'll always search for native apps first, followed by seeing if Android apps work if they don't exist.
