So many Youtube DIYers don't know about concrete vibrators and do shitty concrete pours or add excessive water to make it more "flowy". Mine was €60 from Ali and has done a fantastic job so far. Especially with casting against the old foundation it really gets the concrete flowing into the gaps between the stones to lock them in place. I see the air bubbles pop out of them when getting the tip near one and the concrete level drops as it flows in. Same for making sure it flows into the extended footing and fills it. It'll also make sure the rebar and anchor bolts are completely surrounded, which is essential for them to grip well. My latest #DIY project - a guitar stand, inspired by #Dutch artist Gerrit Rietveld’s ‘crate furniture’ series! Unfortunately, my local home center won’t do diagonal cuts… so I’ve had to fall back to doing-it-myself with a saw. Jeez, this DIY lark ain’t as simple as it looks! 😭 #guitarstand

TLDR: advice for cleaning stinky PC case and components? A couple of months ago, I trashpicked a gaming tower from a neighbor whose teenager had switched to a laptop, because the tower had some problem that kept it from booting up. It was stored in a (dry) basement for 4-5 years. I lugged it home with the vague intention of converting it to a home media server (since I don't want to add that duty to our mail server). On first testing, I found that its 8-yr-old Intel motherboard seemed to have failed -- I reckon due to inadequate cooling, since the "Deepcool" case had no fans (until I added some) or liquid cooling system, and the CPU fan wasn't properly installed. Other components seemed ok (including the room-decor LED light strips the prior owner had haphazardly duct-taped around the case interior). Anyway, I shoved it under a desk and didn't touch it again until the other day, when I disassembled it fully and installed a cheap Gigabyte board and AMD5 CPU. And it boots, NVIDEA GPU works, storage seems ok. BUT IT SMELLS. Like a singed basement troll, with hint of stink bug. Mildly toxic. Not quite like stale tobacco. My spouse immediately complained about it. I had already finished a can of compressed air dusting off various parts, wiped down exposed boards and fan blades, but it didn't help much. Irish Potato Bread My one of my all time favourite breakfast companion foods. This time, making it myself and tasting way better than the store bought ones. 1/ After boiling potatoes, mash with butter, add salt, pepper and Rosemary seasoning (this part is very important or else, no flavour). Mix, add flour and mix again then knead. 2/ Roll and flatten dough, cut into sections, then dry fry each piece, 2 at a time in my case. 3/ Turn, fry the other side , making sure they're cooked properly then set on plate and dry fry the rest of the slices. 4/ Serve with breakfast or on it's own. Szukam jakichś patentów na prądnicę / generator #DIY Czytałem sporo o "amerykankach", ale to chyba za cienki jestem jeszcze. Czytałem o przeróbkach silników z pralek, różnych, to wygląda dla mnie trochę prościej. Może przeróbki innych silników? Macie jakieś rozwiązania? Może coś do poczytania? Na początek nie oczekuję wielkiej mocy, w zasadzie chcę zrobić większy model tego francuskiego rozwiązania, które niedawno wrzucałem. Albo sprawdzić to jako "dynamo" w rowerze ale mocniejsze, stawiające większy opór. Ktoś? Coś? Dzięki :) #prądnica #generator

Stripped, pressure washed, greased and the broken steering linkage bent back into shape and reconnected. Found the stamp, its only three years old, made in Turkey. I've been working on a ridiculous fortune telling system for entertainment (thinking of calling it something like VERY BAD TAROT AND FORTUNE TELLING BY SOMEONE WHO HAS NO MYSTICAL ABILITIES WHATSOEVER). I wanted some coins I could engrave symbols on. I was looking at Ali Express and ebay for coin blanks. They are $0.50 to $1.50 each, in bulk (USD). Suddenly I realized I have lots of coin blanks and they are only $0.01 to $0.25 plus a few minutes with a dremel tool :D #diy #maker #cheap
