I like #classicrock, #hardrock and #heavymetal, especially from the late 60s and the 70s. But sometimes I listen to very different genres, from #deathmetal and #folk to #classicalmusic. I love walks in #nature, especially when there are blueberries and blackberries to pick along the way... and #mushrooms to find! 4/5

Sen en till grej angående #folk och deras beteenden. Jag är rätt avslappnad vad gäller klädsel, även i stadsmiljö och på restauranger. Tycker dock det är ytterst märkligt att traska runt i centrala Barcelona endast iklädd stringbikini. Tycker även att man på restaurang kanske kan ha klädsel så brösten inte hänger ut. Förvånansvärt många människor verkar helt sakna omdöme. Nackdelen med att lämna sin lägenhet är att man tvingas bli påmind om detta.

Vet inte om det är en generationsgrej (baserat på våra studier hittils så är det så), men daglig grej på restauranger här är yngre #folk som sitter och spelar upp klipp med hög volym på sin telefon med sitt sällskap. De sitter och skrattar och låter åt det också. Det är verkligen ett oerhört märkligt (och oartigt) restaurangbeteende. Kan yngre generationer inte ens släppa mobilen på restaurang? Verkar inte vara kopplat till nationalitet, utan ålder.

The Nightingales final album of their original run; one that mixes #postpunk , #folk , #artrock and incredibly unique arrangements. A lot of people regularly refer to this as their greatest artistic achievement, which we can debate, but I’ll tell you what… it’s DEFINITELY Robert Lloyd’s best lyrical tour-de-force. A sharp, witty, dry and sarcastic lyrical masterclass on his part. This album doesn’t get anywhere near the universal acclaim as it deserves. People who know KNOW. However, they didn’t get the same flowers as Gang Of Four, Wire, The Fall…. ANY of those bands. Today in Labor History July 14, 1912: Folk singer Woody Guthrie was born. During World War II, he wrote the song "Talking Hitler's Head Off Blues." Around this time, he also painted THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS on his guitar. STONEY EDWARDS No Way To Drown A Memory 1981 Canada pressing THAT was a long ass day. Before I collapse, a quick comfort spin. This is an album I’ve grown quite fond of, and one I only discovered a few years ago. I bought it on a whim, seeing that it was on BOOT Records, the label that brought us the great Canadian hero Stompin’ Tom Connors. The gamble paid off, because this album reminds me of the great REAL country music that I heard growing up around my uncles, who were all rabid #country + #folk fans. I also love this album for what it LACKS. I find most country music from the #80s to be reprehensible. How they sound, the songwriting, the production… ALL OF IT. This literally sounds like a classic 60s or 70s country record.
