Pixelfed is funded by people like you. We could have taken VC funding, but we both know that would ruin everything we stand for! So we kindly ask: can you help sustain our mission to keep Pixelfed independent? No ads. No tracking. No investors. Just us and you. Can't donate? A boost helps too 💜 https://www.patreon.com/dansup https://opencollective.com/pixelfed https://liberapay.com/pixelfed #pixelfed

We are making good progress on Desktop support for Pixelix. Today we were able to package the app as Flatpak. Now we are making the app responsive so it also looks good on larger screens. Once that is done we will publish Pixelix as Flatpak for Linux and as WebApp. #Pixelix #Pixelfed #Linux #Web #Flatpak

Picture-sharing platform Pixelfed — "the federated Instagram alternative" — now using AI Antimundo (@antimundo@mastodon.gamedev.place) says: Pixelfed is now using AI, and I’m stopping recommending Pixelfed to anyone. https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@antimundo/117338493301655253#pixelfed #fediverse #AI

Close Friends are a vibe, the people you want to share exclusively with. But what if you could share posts and Stories only visible to them? Wouldn't that be neat. 👀 #pixelfed #friends #pixelfedFriends #closeFriends #pixelfedCloseFriends

When you browse hashtags on Pixelfed, we show you related hashtags that you can browse with one tap. That's just one aspect that sets Pixelfed apart from other platforms. #pixelfed #beyondExpectations

Imagine having control of https://Pixelfed.social https://Loops.video https://FediDB.com and https://Fediverse.info You could build ethical discovery and personalization, make it effortless for people to join and engage, and offer them a better server to migrate to whenever they're ready. Loops is building LOLA full account migration right now. Pixelfed is next. #pixelfed #loops #lola #accountMigration

@dansup@mastodon.social will that be on f-droids official repository or will it be on pixelfeds f-droid repository? #fdroid #pixelfed

Pixelfed is choosing its mission over a quick payday. Despite receiving major offers, the project is staying focused on building a social platform designed to last — one that can grow to 100M+ users while creating a sustainable model for creators and admins. In a social media world driven by profit, choosing independence is a powerful statement. Maybe the future of social media can be built differently. #Pixelfed #Fediverse #SocialMedia #Creators #OpenSource

I'm on my 4th major redesign of the @pixelfed@mastodon.social mobile app, and I couldn't be happier with the twrnc UI library, which is basically tailwind for react native. It's fast, clean and consistent. Nativebase and tamagui just were not it for us. History: Pixelfed App v1: nativebase (2023) Pixelfed App v2: nativebase (2024) Pixelfed App v3: tamagui (2025) Pixelfed App v4: twrnc (2026) #pixelfed #pixelfedApp

It just so happens that FediForum will take place as the new Pixelfed mobile app rolls out. What a happy coincidence 💅 #pixelfed #fediForum

Imagine if creators could earn money on Pixelfed. Not with ads or selling your data. But with ethical forms of monetization, like donations/gifts, subscriptions, and more. A small portion would go to admins who run the server. Just imagine. 😉 #pixelfed #ethicalMonetization

API Documentation is important. We're preparing a new developer API website that will replace https://beta-preview.pixelfed.io with updated API endpoints, resources and more! Launching later this month, stay tuned! #pixelfed #pixeldev #pixelfedAPI #developers #developerDocs

Just finished another review of the new @pixelfed@mastodon.social mobile app, and fixed a few bugs. I think it's finally ready for the beta release! There are now dozens of settings you can easily manage to customize your experience. Here are a few of the Content Preference Settings: #pixelfed #pixelfedApp

Phishing emails are getting better. So are we. The new Pixelfed mobile app lets you verify that an email really came from us. It may seem simple. That's the point. Settings -> Manage Account -> Security -> Emails from Pixelfed Shipping soon! #pixelfed #pixeldev #pixelfedApp #shippingSoon

@pixelfed@mastodon.uno @amministratore@mastodon.uno aggiungo che se cerco il mio account pixelfed da Mastodon.uno le ultime immagini non vengono mostrate. Quando le carico le immagini è come se venissero caricate in modalità privata. #mastoaiuto #pixelfed
