Quantum Journal @quantumjournal@mathstodon.xyz · Aug 07, 2026
New #Perspective published in Quantum: Charting separability and entanglement of diagonal Dicke states Dicke states are multipartite quantum states first introduced in \cite{Dicke1954} to describe the collective excitations of $N$ two-level atoms coupled to a single-mode electromagnetic field. They span a subspace of only $N+1$ dimensions, which contains all fully symmetric states under particle pe https://quantum-journal.org/views/qv-2026-08-07-87/ #OpenScience #Quantum #Research

🧶 Harvard Researchers Turn Ordinary Knitting Into Programmable Technology 「 A piece of knitted fabric can now do more than stretch and fold. By carefully controlling its yarns and stitch patterns, researchers have made textiles that snap between stable shapes, operate electrical switches, and even track a person’s steps 」 https://scitechdaily.com/harvard-researchers-turn-ordinary-knitting-into-programmable-technology/ #science #knitting #research #harvard

PH4NTXM :verified: @PH4NTXMOFFICIAL@infosec.exchange · Aug 05, 2026
Another small improvement to PH4NTXM. The Nuke Kernel now allocates available RAM and zero-fills allocated memory before powering off. The goal has never been to add features for the sake of features. It's to make every session end as cleanly as possible while keeping the implementation simple and reliable. Small changes. Big impact. Thank you. #ph4ntxm #linux #debian #os #live #privacy #security #opsec #infosec #research #tech #technology

Update... Update! PH4NTXM includes now an overall ph4ntxm-health cli, so you can check your identity and more, including score. Almost every important spoofed value is on your screen so you can verify at any mean time that everything is safe and as expected. Thank you! #ph4ntxm #linux #debian #os #live #privacy #security #opsec #infosec #research #tech #technology

Galefox is a domain intelligence search engine available at https://galefox.com . It calls itself a domain-first search engine that indexes one entry per website instead of one entry per webpage, which makes it better for discovering the best websites for a topic. It shows one result per domain that reduces duplicate results (& SEO effects) & encourages exploration. It is a niche search tool with a smaller index that is not going to replace Google type tools. #research #tech #science

We independently tested hundreds of homes in eastern Omaha and found toxic levels of lead in soil throughout — including in yards that the EPA remediated years ago. Here’s how we did it. https://www.propublica.org/article/omaha-nebraska-lead-testing-superfund-methodology?utm_source=mastodon&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=mastodon-post #Science #Research #Omaha #Nebraska #Environment #Pollution #Soil

I work in the natural sciences and love science in general. I'll post about #science and #research now and then. By the way, I already have a work Mastodon account using my real name, but it doesn't give me enough freedom to be open or share personal stuff, so I'm making this one. 2/5

RE: https://ec.social-network.europa.eu/@EUCommission/117019207924201870 This is actually a bit surprising to me (#Horizon pots are large, and widely scoped, so integration of #Japan does mean significant growth in efforts), but fits well into the #geostrategic framework of weaning off research dependency with the US. Hmm. Wonder what that means for domestic #research #funding, and cross-organizational projects (which are rather typical for Horizon programmes).

European Commission @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu
Japan officially has joined Horizon Europe, our flagship research and innovation programme. Japan is the 23rd associated country and the most populous, bringing one of the world’s most advanced research ecosystems to our scientific network. Japanese researchers can now participate on equal terms with EU teams to tackle global challenges in health, digital transition, and climate neutrality. Science thrives when talent, ideas and innovation cross borders. More 👉https://link.europa.eu/YP7MtB
