You don’t always need to take a photograph! I first went to Venice in 1972 by train. It was late when we went down the Grand Canal and out to the Youth Hostel. I soon fell asleep on a top bunk with a shutttered window within arm’s reach…. …..When I woke it was dawn. I opened the shutter to a grey mist. Over the next twenty minutes the view of Venice appeared. I didn’t take a photograph but I committed the scene to memory. Back in London I found this: #venice #Italy #memory #turner #art

Il Tempo: Carburanti, il governo taglia di nuovo le accise. Respirano famiglie e imprese Il taglio delle accise dei carburanti è stato estese per tre settimane in due fasi. All'abbassamento previsto fino al 10 maggio dal decreto legge pubblicato nella Gazzetta Ufficiale si aggiungerà, secondo fonti di governo, un intervento con un decreto ministeriale che estenderà la riduzione fiscale fino al 22 maggio. Per gli ulteriori 12 giorni di taglio sarebbero mobilitate risorse per 196 milioni. Il taglio delle accise sui carburanti decisa dall'esecutivo punta a calmierare i prezzi per i consumatori a seguito del conflitto tra Stati Uniti, Israele e Iran ha quindi validità fino al 22 maggio. E sarà attuato con due provvedimenti distinti per ragioni procedurali. Come precisano fonti di Palazzo Chigi, il primo decreto è stato adottato venerdì. Il secondo intervento arriverà nei prossimi giorni, non appena sarà quantificata la disponibilità di risorse derivanti dall'extragettito Iva sui carburanti, attesa entro dieci giorni. Si tratterà di un decreto ministeriale che coprirà complessivamente 21 giorni, così come precisato nella relazione illustrativa al decreto legge. Lo sconto resta di 20 centesimi al litro per il diesel, si abbassa a 5 per la benzina e a meno di 2 centesimi per il gpl. Nel dettaglio l'articolo 1 del decreto stabilisce che, dal 2 al 10 maggio, le aliquote siano rideterminate così: "la benzina: 622,90 euro per mille litri; gasolio: 472,90 euro per mille litri; GPL: 242,77 euro per mille chilogrammi; gas naturale: zero euro per metro cubo". L'iniziativa permette un respiro di sollievo per famiglie e imprese con l'impennata dei prezzi dei carburanti e la chiusura dello Stretto di Hormuz da cui transita il 20% del petrolio mondiale. Intanto Il Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy ha reso noto che oggi "il prezzo medio dei carburanti in modalità 'self service' lungo la rete stradale nazionale è pari a 1,817 euro al litro per la benzina e 2,048 euro per il gasolio. Sulla rete autostradale, invece, il prezzo medio self è di 1,858 euro per la benzina e 2,115 euro per il gasolio. Fuels, the government cuts excise duties again. The second intervention will arrive in the coming days, as soon as the availability of resources derived from the over-collected VAT on fuel is quantified, expected within ten days. It will be a ministerial decree covering a total of 21 days, as specified in the explanatory memorandum to the decree. The discount remains 20 cents per liter for diesel, 5 cents for gasoline, and less than 2 cents for GPL. In detail, Article 1 of the decree establishes that from May 2nd to 10th, the rates will be reduced as follows: “gasoline: €622.90 per 1,000 liters; diesel: €472.90 per 1,000 liters; GPL: €242.77 per 1,000 kilograms; natural gas: €0 per cubic meter”. The initiative provides a breath of relief for families and businesses with the surge in fuel prices and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20% of global oil transits. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy announced that today “the average price of fuels in ‘self-service’ mode along the national road network is €1.817 per liter for gasoline and €2.048 for diesel. Il Tempo: Flotilla, altro giro altra provocazione: "Ripartiremo" "Abbiamo preso tutte le precauzioni che dovevamo prendere, siamo in contatto con le autorità. Ripartiremo e saremo ancora di più rispetto a quelli che siamo partiti dalla Sicilia". Luca è uno degli attivisti della Global Sumud Flotilla, che in collegamento telefonico dalla Grecia col presidio in corso davanti alla Farnesina assicura il ritorno della missione via mare verso Gaza. Una missione nata letteralmente sull'onda della provocazione e che nulla ha a che fare con la volontà diportare beni essenziali che sarebbero potuti arrivare, con più quantità e garanzia di successo, attraverso l'aiuto di Stati e attori terzi che avevano offerto il proprio sostegno. "Useremo questi giorni per sistemare tutto e per rimettere a posto le barche - ha aggiunto il ragazzo - la Flotilla riparte: abbiamo compagni dalla Grecia, dall'Italia, dalla Spagna, dall'Olanda e da tutta Europa che si sono mobilitati per venire qua". L'obiettivo principale, come dichiarato sul sito ufficiale della Sumud, è comunque quello primario di sfidare il blocco navale israeliano. Cercare l'incidente diplomatico, quindi, andando contro anche ai rispettivi Stati che avevano già notificato la propria contrarietà all'imbarcata via mare utile solo a ottenere quel poco di notorietà in più.
