Agi: Fiorentina-Atalanta 1-1 tra i fischi del Franchi AGI - Fiorentina ed Atalanta si dividono la posta in palio al termine di una tipica partita di fine stagione, fra errori, sbadigli e due reti arrivate in maniera casuale: la prima grazie ad una papera di Sportiello su conclusione di Piccoli, la seconda su autorete di Comuzzo. I due allenatori, visto che la gara non mette in palio punti decisivi, danno spazio a molte seconde linee. Vanoli sceglie Christensen in porta, Rugani e Comuzzo in difesa, Fabbian e Brescianini a centrocampo e Mandragora in regia, rinunciando fra gli altri sia a Fagioli che a Pongracic. Palladino di contro sceglie Sportiello fra i pali, la coppia Bellanova-Mensah sugli esterni, e l'attacco leggero con Samardzic e Sulemana alle spalle di Raspadori. Primo tempo Sono gli ospiti a fare la partita con almeno tre parate di Christensen da registrare nei primi 20', due su Samardzic ed una su Musah. La Fiorentina, che parte con il consueto 4-1-4-1, passa velocemente al 4-2-3-1 con Gudmundsson che gioca alle spalle di Piccoli, e proprio quest'ultimo segna al 39' sull'unica vera azione manovrata dei gigliati, con Mandragora che serve dal proprio limite dell'area Brescianini, che prolunga per l'attaccante Roberto Piccoli, uno degli ex della partita che, con la complicità di Sportiello, realizza l'1-0. Secondo tempo Ci si aspetta la reazione dell'Atalanta fin da inizio ripresa, ma De Roon e compagni faticano a presentarsi davanti a Christensen che, tranne una parata su Ahanor al 51' ed un'uscita a valanga su Zappacosta, non deve disimpegnarsi. Il vero intervento decisivo il portiere danese lo deve compiere al 76' quando si distende in tuffo su una conclusione angolata di Sulemana penetrato in area. La risposta gigliata all'80' con un colpo di testa di Fabbian respinto in angolo da Sportiello. L'Atalanta pareggia a 8' dalla fine per merito di un'autorete di Comuzzo spaventato dalla presenza nei suoi paraggi di Scamacca. Nei 10' conclusivi spazio nella Fiorentina anche per il terzo portiere Lezzerini, col triplice fischio finale che conclude una deludente stagione di entrambe le squadre.
