In just one state:🚨$4.4B in fed taxpayer$ is being spent on detaining immigrants—many of whom are in the C lawfully—& some➡️US cits. On aver, every HH in MN🚨is paying ~$2,000 to track down, intimidate, detain, or deport ppl. If that💰were spent instead on programs proven to improve the lives of working fams—Ed, HC, living wages—⚡it could improve MN comms dramatically. #Murder:🚨Prisciliano Trejo Ricano, 29 y/o, began feeling ill while detained at a GA #detention cen, where he'd been for 3 weeks💔-died on Wed, July 22. He'd lived in Durham & was in #ICE custody died at a hosp in Augusta,💔after developing an aggressive form of leukemia that quickly claimed his life. Beata🚨spent her first night in KY’s Campbell Co #Detention Cen in a cell with black mold covering the air vents, dead bedbugs in the room’s corners, & blood smeared above the doorway.
