Which is of course why sane parents never end up in family court in the first place. In WA state, parents can simply share custody without any court order. There isn't really a requirement to go to court unless the parties can't trust one another. Now keep in mind, the #2 type cases, people who will ultimately settle is from my personal observation something I probably personally under count in physical & virtual court watch. I really think, especially in family court the vast majority of families likely settle before needing courts. Settle at the first mention of court, or TRULY work together to minimize the court bill bc its just coming out of the overall family anyhow if you burn legal cash. #CourtWatch #FamilyLaw

Just finished reading most of the Minnesota v. DHS lawsuit and its just a massive constitutional violation wrapped in police violence and state's rights infringement. Each offense more shocking than the last. At the end of the day the AG of Minnesota is asking for very reasonable relief. One especially ridiculous case, ICE agents abducted a US citizen walking home from the gym. The agents put a citizen into handcuffs and dragged him into an unmarked car that had no license plates at all! Once in the car they scanned his face using the DHS app MobileFortify. I think you get the picture on the shear amount of violence ICE is dolling out. What Illinois suit drives home and closes with are words from federal officials themselves who promise that the worst is not over for Chicago. Ridiculous. A couple years ago an unarmed Black man, Timothy McCree Johnson, was killed over allegedly stealing sun glasses at a mall by a reckless cop. The cop, Wesley Shifflett, was actually convicted but the conservative VA governor gave this dirty cop a full pardon on his way out of office this month.
