An interesting take. I kinda have the fish out of water experience of growing up in many predominantly Black spaces. But college and work throw you into more white spaces where supposedly anti racist people NEVER act. You end up needing to do the work of a whole Black community in isolation. Bc theres 10x as many ignorant yt folks being casually racist with 10x fewer Black community members who will call out and resolve racism issues in parallel. #BlackMastodon #blm #blacklivesmatter #allies

Hey, the petiiton is ready to go. Here's the thing, in the wake of Seattle's 2020 protests one of the supposed BIG win's was WA's Karen Law. The only problem is that a Karen still spends nothing calling the cops and ANY single cop interaction with a false basis could be deadly. The legislature reocgnized this be making Karen's liable for police mistakes.   1. Black Americans are much more likely to face police brutality.

  2. Black Americans are MUCH more likely to be stopped by the police in the first place.

From reviewing videos from the protest it appears locals have identified the man killed by cops as Corey D. Ruiz. The protest crowd could be heard leading the concert goers in chanting Corey's name. #Madison #WI #ICE #BlackLivesMatter

In a move right out of 2020 the crowd went to march to the state capitol which is located near the crime scene and found a concert in progress. The protesters crashed the large concert and continued stating the demand that the officer be named and arrested immediately. lmao.... the cop's attempt to control the narrative today is just not keeping up the response speed of the local protesters. #Madison #BlackLivesMatter #ACAB #WI #CantSpellPoliceWithoutICE

On #ThisDayInHistory in 2014, #EricGarner was murdered by #NYPD because they thought he was selling cigarettes. The excessive force used against suspects by US #police forces would shame any tinpot dictatorship. That we can't fix it is outrageous. #ICantBreathe #BlackLivesMatter
