I guess it's time for an updated #Introduction: 🥁 Dear Fediverse! 🎶 I am a #composer of #theatre music and #filmmusic, living in the lovely woods of Asker, Norway. I've been lucky enough to make a living from this for 20 years, and constantly want to reinvent myself musically, or else I get bored real quickly. During one year, one project could be scored with a chamber orchestra, but the next one might be banjo punk. I was a pretty decent drummer once, but too impatient to stay in one band for very long. Today, I might release the occasional solo album or EP, but most of my releases are #soundtrack albums. As a music listener I'm into everything from #Bach to #Dvorak to #Genesis to #RATM, and everything in-between. 💿 I am #actuallyautistic and #ADHD. I have a four year old kid who I love more than the universe itself. I obsess over #StarWars and #EdvardGrieg more than what is probably considered healthy. I buy lots of CDs at flea markets and organise them all onto my wonderful #Plex server (another obsession!) Grew up with 90s PC adventure games from the likes of #LucasArts, and wish I had time to complete all those games I never got to finish, and replay all the ones I did. Thank heavens for @scummvm@manitu.social 👾 I detest fascist man-babies and evil tech-bros. In a continuous #degoogle process, one step at a time. In Greek mythology, the witch Medea falls in love with the hero Jason and helps him win the Golden Fleece. Though the two marry and produce two sons, Jason later abandons Medea to marry the princess of Corinth. maybe technically a #ThrowbackThursday ? recent visit to the Orpheum in Vancouver, to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra perform the score to Lion King live to picture (which was imperfect, and in my opinion better as a result of that, made it human, made it real), evidently the building dates back to the 1920's and the golden era of theaters, has some history with haunting (and as a result of that fame has been used as a set for a number of films & TV shows), the overhead dome I found particularly enjoyable, lots of details #History #Architecture #Art #Buildings #Theatre #Vancouver

Herne the Hunter is mentioned in William Shakespeare's play "The Merry Wives of Windsor" as the ghost of a gamekeeper who has antlers and haunts Windsor Forest. #introduction time! Hi, I'm Bea. I seem to be leading a highly squiggly life that's led me through a wild range of experiences, has, at this point been going on for Some Time, and fortunately shows no signs of stopping yet. Currently, amongst other things, I'm a #coder, a #boater, a #music obsessive, and a #cat mama, plus I #parent a non-zero irrational number of other humans of various ages in this, my sandwich era. I've also been a #soundEngineer, a #teacher, a professional #psychic, a #theatre technician, and so on. I'm a #Londoner, a lapsed #Glaswegian and a recovering #NewYorker. I'd list more specifics, but honestly they change all the time; two of the rare constants in my life are #singing and #bass, though I'm increasingly surrounded by a constellation of strange instruments; physical and digital, musical and nautical. I'm also a #vegan (for the animals) #trans shapeshifter practising #nonMonogamy, and am gay for girls of most genders and apparently now the occasional boy. If this feels like rubbing it in your face, feel free to move your face. I have an overdeveloped sense of justice, but only compared to your average late capitalist human, and the kind of highly spicy brain you'd expect from, uh, well, all of the above. I'm afraid things are likely only going to get weirder from here. No TERFs, no SWERFs, no cops, no Tories (or any other forms of fascism). Warning! contains multitudes!

In Shakespeare's play, Cordelia dies before her father King Lear. However, in British folklore, she outlives him and becomes Britain's ruler. Cordelia is a warrior queen who leads armies. Where is the world's largest #IMAX #theatre? It's the Traumpalast Leonberg #Theater in #Leonberg, #Germany #Deutschland 38.8 meters x 21 meters (127 feet x 69 feet for us American idiots) The theater is so proud of it, they put together a little demo to show it off using the objects-projecting-through-a-border 3D visual trick #movies #cinema

My job is the MOST fun, sometimes! Spending the entire weekend at #TOFringe Festival and getting paid to do the easiest job imaginable (they need an extra body to sit beside a camera & babysit it during some of the archival recordings). Getting paid to watch 4 shows, and buying tickets to 4 others in-between while I'm there anyway. Yay summer! #Toronto #theatre

Good morning lovely ones. Its theatre day, hurrah! Off to Glasgow, looking forward to it, even if I do feel pretty horrendous just now. I am sure once I get my coffee and lemon muffin at the train station, I will feel just fine 😁 It is going to be a long day, leave the house at 9 and will be home 12 hours later. It is also the first day of a new SAL, kinda grumbly that I can't get started with it today, but it will give me something to do tomorrow when I can't move 😂 I'm waffling on, again.
