This is Acacia (pronounced A-ka-sha). She was a good kitty, but was only in my life for a few months. She had a fascination that was dangerous to her and potentially to our home: she loved to chew on wires of all sorts, including speaker wires and electrical cords. I tried everything I could think of: hiding them, putting safe bitters on them, even wrapping them in aluminum foil. On the last day, when I walked along the road, bringing her back to the shelter in her carrier, it nearly broke my heart. She had the biggest golden eyes she'd ever offered, and made the gentlest meows. But I knew my place wasn't safe for her. #ThrowbackThursday to the image I sprained my ankle for. I wanted to capture the sunset from the peak - I had a suspicion that the sky would light up for #Sunset and match the #Mountain flowers. On my descent I stepped funny, bending my ankle and reinjuring my recently sprained ankle again! I then hiked 8km solo in the dark down to camp, I didn't make it back till midnight. Hiking out the final 9km of trail the following morning was very hard! #landscapephotography #photography #lpw #nature

maybe technically a #ThrowbackThursday ? recent visit to the Orpheum in Vancouver, to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra perform the score to Lion King live to picture (which was imperfect, and in my opinion better as a result of that, made it human, made it real), evidently the building dates back to the 1920's and the golden era of theaters, has some history with haunting (and as a result of that fame has been used as a set for a number of films & TV shows), the overhead dome I found particularly enjoyable, lots of details #History #Architecture #Art #Buildings #Theatre #Vancouver
