Times of India | OpenAI CEO Sam Altman 'accepts' clients telling him that 'My company spent my entire 2026 budget in Q1'; says: All of a sudden there is ... AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told attendees at the “Intelligence at Work” event that many of the company’s customers are now worried about how quickly they are depleting their AI budgets, with some organisations spending their entire 2026 allocation in the first quarter. He said this shift from earlier optimism reflects the rapid rise in token consumption as AI tools become cheaper and more capable, leading to larger‑scale deployments that can sometimes cost more than human labor. Altman noted that while the company’s biggest client used around 100 000 tokens per month six‑and‑a‑half years ago, today its top users consume tens of billions of tokens monthly, illustrating a Jevons‑paradox‑type effect. In response, OpenAI is working on making its models more efficient so customers can gain more value for less spend, even as businesses across sectors grapple with balancing AI adoption against escalating operational costs. Feed: All Latest | Nvidia’s RTX Spark Laptops Look Hell-Bent on Disruption by Luke Larsen AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Nvidia unveiled its RTX Spark laptops at Computex, promising the first true “AI PC” by pairing its new N1 ARM‑based CPU with unified memory up to 128 GB and RTX graphics (as powerful as an RTX 5070) and a CUDA‑driven AI platform that brings data‑center‑grade processing to local Windows machines. The move positions Nvidia against Microsoft’s much‑hyped AI‑PC concepts and Apple’s MacBook Pro/Mac Mini dominance, offering a Windows alternative that could run foundation‑level models locally, albeit at a premium price—likely $4,000 + for top configurations. By collaborating with OEMs such as HP, Asus, Dell and Lenovo, and targeting both AI enthusiasts and creators/gamers, Nvidia aims to create a new class of high‑performance, AI‑capable PCs that could reshape the Windows ecosystem and challenge Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm in the near future. Times of India | Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang agrees with CEOs of TCS, Salesforce, SAP and others that it is 'an incredible time to be a software company' AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, told the Computex audience that the rise of “agentic AI” – systems that can perform tasks with minimal human input – is opening unprecedented opportunities for software companies rather than ushering a “SaaSpocalypse.” He argued that AI agents will rely heavily on tools, so software firms remain essential if they adapt their products for agent use. Huang’s optimism mirrors the views of other tech leaders such as TCS chief K. Krithivasan, Salesforce’s Marc Benioff and SAP’s Christian Klein, all of whom say AI is enhancing, not replacing, enterprise software. He also dismissed the tendency of some CEOs to blame AI for recent layoffs, calling that narrative “lazy” because generative‑AI tools have only become broadly practical in the past few months. Snowflake announced a $6 billion, five‑year commitment to Amazon Web Services, expanding its use of AWS’s custom Arm‑based Graviton CPUs and cloud‑based GPUs for artificial‑intelligence workloads. The deal, which does not include an equity investment, builds on earlier spending agreements that grew from $1.2 billion at the company’s 2020 IPO to $2.5 billion in 2023. In its fiscal first‑quarter results, Snowflake reported $1.39 billion in revenue—a 33 % year‑over‑year increase—and adjusted earnings of $0.39 per share, both surpassing analysts’ expectations, and projected Q2 product revenue of $1.415‑$1.420 billion with a 12.5 % operating margin. qwant news | UK venture funding doubled to $10.5bn in the first four months of 2026, on the back of three giant rounds AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. In the first four months of 2026 UK‑based companies secured $10.5 billion in venture‑capital funding—about twice the amount raised in the same period a year earlier—propelling the country to the top of Europe and into the global top‑five for both deal count (≈7 % of worldwide volume) and value (≈3 % of worldwide value). Although overall deal volume fell 2 % year‑on‑year, the surge in value was driven by three massive rounds that together account for more than 40 % of total funding: AI‑infrastructure operator Nscale closed a $2 billion Series C at a $14.6 billion valuation, self‑driving firm Wayve raised $1.2 billion at $8.6 billion valuation, and seed‑stage AI start‑up Ineffable Intelligence secured $1.1 billion at a $5.1 billion valuation. Two of these billion‑dollar deals also featured direct UK state investment via the British Business Bank and the Sovereign AI Fund. Analysts note that while the rapid $10 billion milestone signals strong momentum, the concentration of capital in a few late‑stage deals raises questions about whether a broader pipeline of growth‑stage companies will emerge to sustain the pace.
