Il Tempo: Sequestrati 170 Kg di hashish nel porto di Savona, arrestato camionista SAVONA (ITALPRESS) – Un carico di hashish nascosto sotto un pavimento di giocattoli. I Carabinieri hanno sequestrato circa 170 chili di droga e arrestato un autotrasportatore croato di 57 anni, intercettato sul lungomare di Savona dopo essere sbarcato dal porto.L'operazione è nata dal monitoraggio dei Carabinieri della Compagnia Milano Duomo, che stavano seguendo gli spostamenti di un autoarticolato con targa croata proveniente dall'estero. Il rimorchio era stato imbarcato in Spagna e, una volta arrivato via mare a Savona, era stato agganciato dalla motrice giunta in Italia via terra.I militari, con il supporto dei colleghi di Savona, hanno fermato il mezzo sul Lungomare Giacomo Matteotti. Svuotato il rimorchio dai numerosi pallet di giocattoli destinati alla vendita, gli investigatori hanno notato alcune anomalie nel pianale. SAVONA (ITALPRESS) – A shipment of hashish hidden beneath a floor of toys. The Carabinieri (Italian military police) seized approximately 170 kilograms of drugs and arrested a 57-year-old Croatian truck driver, intercepted on the waterfront of Savona after disembarking from the port. The operation originated from the monitoring of a Spanish-registered truck by the Carabinieri Company Milano Duomo. The truck had been loaded in Spain and, upon arriving by sea in Savona, was connected to the tractor which had arrived in Italy by land. The military, with the support of their colleagues in Savona, stopped the vehicle on Lungomare Giacomo Matteotti. After emptying the trailer of numerous pallets of toys intended for sale, investigators noticed anomalies in the floor. Dismantling the panels, a false floor was revealed where the hashish blocks were concealed. E poi calci, pugni, le mani legate dietro la schiena. E’ il racconto degli attivisti della Global Sumud Flotilla bloccati in acque territoriali greche dalla Marina israeliana. I maltrattamenti, secondo quanto testimoniano anche le immagini delle ferite, sono avvenuti proprio a bordo della nave della Marina di Tel Aviv. “Quaranta ore di crudeltà premeditata” viene detto. La violenza, in particolare, sarebbe esplosa quando l’equipaggio della Flotilla ha reagito alla notizia che due di loro – Saif Abukeshek (spagnolo di origini palestinesi) e Thiago Ávila (brasiliano) – non sarebbero sbarcati con tutti gli altri a Creta, ma sarebbero stati “trattenuti” e portati in Israele per essere interrogati. Spanish-language Law Librarians Needed

Letter to the PADOC secretary

TO: ra-crpadocsecretary@pa.gov

I’m writing you on behalf of prisoners at SCI Dallas and across the PADOC system. With a growing number of migrant detentions across the country, it is more important than ever that Spanish-language legal services be made available in prisons. At SCI Dallas a bilingual prisoner was denied the ability to be a law librarian. As a result many prisoners have not been able to effectively use the law library, depriving them of their right to do so.

As an organization that provides educational and legal materials to prisoners we ask that you look into this matter. Specifically we are asking that you ensure there is Spanish-language assistance by someone knowledgeable in the law provided in PADOC law libraries. These people are facing deportation hearings and time is of the essence to get them the legal access that they need.

Tra questi non c’è solo Un semplice incidente dell’iraniano Jafar Panahi, ma anche The Voice of Hind Rajab, il docudrama di Kaouther Ben Hania incentrato sull’uccisione di una bimba palestinese a Gaza da parte dell’esercito israeliano. Bardem si presenta in scena già con un’enorme scritta rossa sul bavero della giacca, con messaggi contro la guerra e a favore dei palestinesi. Poi, una volta al microfono, la voce possente e perentoria invita alla pace e alla liberazione di Gaza da Israele. Bardem è stato l’unico a portare all’attenzione della platea e degli spettatori la tragedia del popolo palestinese.
