Sono 18 i morti recuperati dalla Guardia costiera turca dopo l’affondamento di un gommone a largo di Bodrum, che si trova nel sud-ovest della Turchia e si affaccia sul mar Egeo, l’altra pericolosissima traversata e porta d’accesso all’Unione Europea tramite la Grecia per proseguire tramite la “rotta balcanica“. Altre 21 persone sono sopravvissute al naufragio e sono state soccorse, con le operazioni di ricerca ancora in corso con l’impiego di tre navi e un elicottero.
