Windrose - First base layout (Still in progress)

Base still in progress. Not too happy with the accommodations but I do quite like the layout and decor for my piers and crafting area.

PC Games like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I’m looking for any games on PC (preferably Steam) that plays like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Mainly, I’m looking for large, open-world games, with lots of things to do, with an over-arching narrative/destination available. Think Minecraft, with but an actual definitive objective to complete. I’m aware of Fromsoft’s work (Elden Ring), but I’m looking for non-soulslike games.

Xenoblade Genesis Nintendo Direct Trailer

Where all my Xenoblade fans at? Here’s the trailer for the 2027 GOTY that will be overshadowed by some other games that aren’t worthy, just like XC3 was that year. I kid I kid, but it’s going to be great if the XC trilogy is any indication.

I just saw the Ocarina of Time Remake glimpse at Nintendo Direct 6.9.2026

YouTube video: youtu.be/PvUPDSDZg1k?t=3183 (Invidious just doesn’t find this video for some reasons) Hey listen! I don’t know how to feel about this look. I’m happy about the Remake, because it will be realized in full 3D, without the early technical limitations of Nintendo 64. But I guess we need to see this in action in the game, rather than this quick few seconds at non gameplay sequence. Will this be a re-imagining like Final Fantasy 7 Remake was? Sure the overworld map will be more interesting this time without loading screens in between the areas, with the lessons learned from Breath of the Wild. More than the graphics update, I’m very curious about the gameplay changes and how the world will be layed out. And the soundtrack off course. How far will Nintendo diverge from the original? BTW I won’t buy a Switch 2, so will miss out on this unfortunately. Edit: As a reminder, the original game got unofficially decompiled and ported to PC (you have to provide a Rom file for the assets), with possible enhancements while staying true to the original game: www.shipofharkinian.com

Tiny Fantasy World devlog 01

I just posted my first devlog short for a mobile rpg I’m making called Tiny Fantasy World. In this episode I’m sharing the character creator and how it looks so far. Please tell me what you think! It’s a passion project of mine that I work on when I have some spare time after work. All assets are hand made and programmed by me. If people like this sort of thing I’ll keep making more videos showing different aspects of the game.

Game Reveals kind of suck now .. (and they kind of always have)

Every year I try to get my self excited about watching the gaming summer shows , what use to be E3. This year honestly I just couldn’t. I tried watching a few minutes of both the Sony and Summer Games fest and felt bored. I’m sure a lot of these games these they show will be great. But the way the present most of them honestly doesn’t engage me in the slightest. Sometimes you get a cinematic trailer that shows no gameplay sometimes (mostimes) you get just gameplay with no context. I feel like the presentation format doesn’t work for games not anymore anyway. I feel like just setting up a YouTube channel or a playlist with game logos , descriptions and back stories with a small trailer would work so much better. Unlike E3 this SGF is a Geoff cash grab where most larger companies seldom take part. Outside of new hardware I don’t see the need for this no context trailer barrage. Maybe I’m just out of touch maybe I’m just insane. Thoughts ? Edit :: people seem to be getting stuck on the title (which I’ve updated). I’m not saying all game reveals are bad. There have been some genuine gems. In some cases those gems were not the actual game. But it got the job done. This is my commentary on how I see the modern gaming marketing landscape.
