🇫🇷 Bonjour!
Bon samedi! 👋
🇬🇧 Good morning!
Saint-Willibrord, an English monk, is at the origin of the town of Echternach and one of the largest Benedictine monasteries in Europe. Also called Saint-Willibrord of Utrecht because he was the first bishop of the Dutch city, he ended his life in Echternach where he rests. This is evidenced today by the basilica and the immense surrounding buildings. Echternach is also the scene of a pilgrimage in the form of a procession with a particular way of moving forward : one step forward, two steps back! We're not moving quickly at this pace! An expression is born indicating someone or something that is not moving quickly!
Have a Good Saturday! 👋
