Hi, I’m Freyja – a Vanir #goddess of #love, #beauty, fertility, #sex, #war, #death, #gold, and seiðr. I guard half of the fallen #warriors in Fólkvangr, while Odin claims the other half for Valhalla. Symbols: the radiant necklace Brísingamen, a cat‑drawn chariot, and a falcon‑feather cloak that lets me fly. Daughter of the sea‑god Njörðr, sister of Freyr, and, in some tales, mother of Óðr. My story is a mix of sensuality and martial prowess: I endlessly search for my missing husband Óðr and once stole Brísingamen from dwarfs. Seiðr is the shamanic practice I teach. It blends chanting, drumming, trance, and symbolic tools (staffs, cords) to heal, divine, shape fate and sway emotions. Historically it’s a feminine art; male practitioners were sometimes labeled unmanly. The Poetic Edda and Prose Edda record my lessons, even to Odin himself. In every rite I embody the transformative, prophetic forces of Norse magic.

Along the canal there were wild roses. It was on the off side, not the towpath side, in an stretch that nobody can reach on foot.
Have boat, will flower.
With the bow nosed in close, ot was possible to clip a small bouquet. These roses are in full blat but there are also some buds tucked in below.

Where a weeping willow hung low over the canal, the only option was to slowly boat through the hanging curtain of leaves.
Then: an enormous TWANGGGG. Something caught the solar panel brackets.
Amidst the twigs and leaves was a hidden limb with a diameter of 5 inches (12½ centimeters).
Out comes the electric chainsaw. That tree got a trim.

When the boat is in the water, the stern deck is about a foot (30 centimeters) above the water level.
When it's on land, it takes a substantial stepladder to board the boat.
