Just started watching "How Dare You" which reminded me so much of last years transmigration drama, but the fact that there are at least 3 transmigrators makes it kinda interesting.
They say the title line "How Dare You!" in episode two when the Empress Dowager and the Emperor try to out yell each other.
I'm also learning Chinese slang. "Corporate Drone Makeup" is what you wear when you want to look innocent and hardworking and you aren't.
This was good.

Was reading recaps of a webtoon on youtube, but now there is AI slop posted as future episodes with old images and nonsensical text gosh I hate this. I wish I could block youtube channels.
I read Wuthering Heights when I was a teen, and I really liked it. It was violent, it was overdramatic, it was exotic.
But I also remember hearing the drama about casting a non-black man in the role in 2026. And I found this essay from a deaf influencer that I follow about how this is a story about whiteness.
I think "whiteness" and exclusion is the topic of the moment, and we as a culture better have that discussion about who we think belongs, and why?
