For Asian Movie Night last night we saw 100 Yards [ 门前宝地]. Another DVD to add to our Andy On collection but can't say we enjoyed it. It did receive two award nominations though. Managed to watch it without dropping off, so there is that. #cdrama https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/1122824

A Reminder to #cdrama fans: The Criterion Channel & streaming app has film director Wong Kar Wai's only drama series: Blossoms Shanghai (2023- 30 episodes). Hu Ge stars as a poor man who makes it big in the 1990s Shanghai stock market just after #China’s government opens the country to business and global finance. Finishing Pursuit Of Jade left me bereft - what do you mean there isn’t any more?! I’m definitely going to have to rewatch, but needed a palate cleanser first. We tried the first ep of Legend of the Female General, hoping it would capture some of the same energy, but it didn’t grab us. Then we tried the first ep of Dream Within a Dream and it had us in stitches the entire episode. I think we have a winner ☺️ #CDrama #PursuitOfJade #LegendOfTheFemaleGeneral #DreamWithinADream

The cinematography and acting has been top tier in #pursuitofjade but the realness of “that scene” where she verifies herself is one of the best I’ve seen in a #cdrama. It is so delicate.

Partner has been watching #pursuitofjade a lot longer than I expected for a romance. Episode 14, and so far only some mild grumbling. 😅 #cdrama

It is criminally unfair that Dylan Wang is only 27 (?!?) And he seems to have a short but very good list of dramas under his belt. I am currently enjoying him in the #cdrama #LoveBetweenFairyandDevil and there's body-swapping and I love his acting when he is swapped. Delightful.

I’m three and a half episodes into #pursuitofjade and so far it’s lived up to the hype. The cinematography, pacing and acting are tops. I hope it continues at this high level. #cdrama
