Tak porównuję te dwa soundtracki i, szczerze mówiąc, uczucia mieszane. Materiał Vangelisa jest ponadczasowy: naprawdę lepiej zainwestować w wersję 3 CD (specjalne wydanie na 25 lecie pierwszego "Łowcy Androidów), na pierwszych dwóch płytach znajduje się kompletna ścieżka dźwiękowa (na drugiej płycie jest niewydany wcześniej materiał z oryginalnej ścieżki wydanej bodaj w 1994) a na trzeciej materiał stworzony na 25 lecie filmu: dodatkowa muzyka nawiązująca do filmu, niezwykle klimatyczna, oraz wiersz... Konstantego Ildefonsa Gałczyńskiego "Spotkanie z Matką" recytowany po polsku przez Romana Polańskiego. Wielkie wydawnictwo. Obok soundtrack z "Blade Runnera 2049". O ile film bardzo mi się podobał i jest naprawdę bardzo dobrą kontynuacją, o tyle soundtrack jest nieco monotonny (bliżej mu klimatem do "Terminatora") i oparty na takich mrocznych, nieco trailerowych bębnach plus jeśli ktoś nie pamięta dobrze filmu, to nijak wplecione dwa utwory Sinatry i dwa Presleya, mogą być dezorientujące. Poza głównym motywem, brakuje też kompozycji na których można by "zawiesić" ucho (co innego w oryginalnym materiale, gdzie regularnie wraca się chociażby do "Love Theme", "Blade Runner Blues", "Memories of Green" czy muzyki z napisów końcowych). Pierwszy soundtrack mogę polecać w ciemno, jako perełkę dla miłośników muzyki elektronicznej (wersja jednopłytowa z 1994 również "robi robotę" i można ją dość tanio dostać), drugi soundtrack tylko dla fanów, że nim jestem, to będę wracał regularnie. #electronicmusic #soundtrack #sciencefiction

I guess it's time for an updated #Introduction: 🥁 Dear Fediverse! 🎶 I am a #composer of #theatre music and #filmmusic, living in the lovely woods of Asker, Norway. I've been lucky enough to make a living from this for 20 years, and constantly want to reinvent myself musically, or else I get bored real quickly. During one year, one project could be scored with a chamber orchestra, but the next one might be banjo punk. I was a pretty decent drummer once, but too impatient to stay in one band for very long. Today, I might release the occasional solo album or EP, but most of my releases are #soundtrack albums. As a music listener I'm into everything from #Bach to #Dvorak to #Genesis to #RATM, and everything in-between. 💿 I am #actuallyautistic and #ADHD. I have a four year old kid who I love more than the universe itself. I obsess over #StarWars and #EdvardGrieg more than what is probably considered healthy. I buy lots of CDs at flea markets and organise them all onto my wonderful #Plex server (another obsession!) Grew up with 90s PC adventure games from the likes of #LucasArts, and wish I had time to complete all those games I never got to finish, and replay all the ones I did. Thank heavens for @scummvm@manitu.social 👾 I detest fascist man-babies and evil tech-bros. In a continuous #degoogle process, one step at a time. From Russia with Love is the 1963 soundtrack for the second James Bond film, From Russia With Love. This is the first series film with John Barry as the primary soundtrack composer. The soundtrack's original recordings are thought to be lost and did not appear when the Bond soundtrack albums were issued in remastered form on CD. The album is different from the film with the album's recording of the main titles sounding slower and not featuring the organ played by Alan Haven. Several tracks on the album do not appear in the completed film. #FinalFantasy legend Nobuo Uematsu has just released his latest work. Merregnon: Heart of Ice is a newly composed orchestral symphonic fairy tale in the tradition of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, based on a children's book by Frauke Angel and recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra, narrated by actress Alicia Vikander. Seriously, if TMS were to let anyone do a "Spechal Collectors Edition" of CyberSix they should not only get the Soundtrack (without Sound Effects) on CD and add it in the package but also get the other ambient Soundtracks on it alongside a new recording of the "Full Lenght Theme"... Blow-Up is a soundtrack album by American jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, featuring music composed for Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 film Blowup. MGM Records released the album in the United States on 20 February 1967, and in the United Kingdom on 10 May. The album features performances by Hancock, trumpeters Freddie Hubbard and Joe Newman, alto saxophonist Phil Woods, tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson, guitarist Jim Hall, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Jack DeJohnette. Music from Mission: Impossible is an album featuring music composed and conducted by Lalo Schifrin recorded in 1967 and released on the Dot label.[1] The music on this album is re-recorded and extended scores were originally commissioned for the TV series Mission: Impossible. The Allmusic review states: "Any fan of the show should try and find this album at a used music shop, but more specifically fans of Lalo Schifrin (and that could be quite a few, as he remained uncredited on some of his TV themes) should definitely check the album out. Ended the weekend and welcomed the week with Ascenseur pour l'échafaud an album by Miles Davis...The album features the musical cues for the 1958 Louis Malle film Ascenseur pour l'échafaud. Jean-Paul Rappeneau, a jazz fan and Malle's assistant at the time, suggested asking Miles Davis to create the film's soundtrack ..Rappeneau introduced him to Malle, and Davis agreed to record the music after attending a private screening. On December 4, he brought his four sidemen to the recording studio without having had them prepare anything.
