Just setup my new AirPlay speakers and tried to choose them as sound device. Apparently that is not possible when the device is in Lockdown mode. Oh well, I’m not a high value target so I turned it off (even though I would rather have had it on). #Apple #AirPlay #AirPlay2 #MacBook #MacBookPro #LockdownMode #Security #Music #Sound

Can someone advise me (or point me to reliable online resources) on building a #stereo #sound system with my #Linux #Ubuntu (software, hardware, amplifier, connections, digitizing my CDs, etc.)? I have zero expertise/experience with that so far. Re-posts will be highly appreciated.

Listen to the sounds of a modern blacksmith shop. Enjoy the visuals and the sonic atmosphere. It's hard to convey the vibe of a blacksmith shop and here is my attempt. Watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75I44Ttk_rk #blacksmithing, #sound, #ambience

Another spoiler for the uMixa. Among others it was developed for piezos, coils, or pickups and features extremely high input impedance, high gain, and low noise. The EQ also does its best by lowering the lows here. #diy #electronic #piezo #sound #field #recording
