I feel like I've been away forever! I had a great time walking in the Netherlands. The weather was beautiful, the area really quiet and lovely and the people friendly. It was a good time to try out my new backpack and hiking alone for 5 days was really not all that difficult. I'm glad I tried out solo hiking, would definitely do it again. It was an amazing way to clear my head and destress. Just sitting between the dykes and the sea listening to many birds breeding there was heaven. Il Tempo: Flotilla, altro giro altra provocazione: "Ripartiremo" "Abbiamo preso tutte le precauzioni che dovevamo prendere, siamo in contatto con le autorità. Ripartiremo e saremo ancora di più rispetto a quelli che siamo partiti dalla Sicilia". Luca è uno degli attivisti della Global Sumud Flotilla, che in collegamento telefonico dalla Grecia col presidio in corso davanti alla Farnesina assicura il ritorno della missione via mare verso Gaza. Una missione nata letteralmente sull'onda della provocazione e che nulla ha a che fare con la volontà diportare beni essenziali che sarebbero potuti arrivare, con più quantità e garanzia di successo, attraverso l'aiuto di Stati e attori terzi che avevano offerto il proprio sostegno. "Useremo questi giorni per sistemare tutto e per rimettere a posto le barche - ha aggiunto il ragazzo - la Flotilla riparte: abbiamo compagni dalla Grecia, dall'Italia, dalla Spagna, dall'Olanda e da tutta Europa che si sono mobilitati per venire qua". L'obiettivo principale, come dichiarato sul sito ufficiale della Sumud, è comunque quello primario di sfidare il blocco navale israeliano. Cercare l'incidente diplomatico, quindi, andando contro anche ai rispettivi Stati che avevano già notificato la propria contrarietà all'imbarcata via mare utile solo a ottenere quel poco di notorietà in più. Luca is one of the activists of the Global Sumud Flotilla, who, speaking by telephone from Greece with the protest taking place in front of the Farnesina, assures the return of the mission by sea to Gaza. A mission literally born on the wave of provocation and which has nothing to do with the intention of transporting essential goods that could have arrived, with greater quantity and guarantee of success, through the help of States and third actors who had offered their support. “We will use these days to tidy everything up and to put the boats in order - the boy added - the Flotilla restarts: we have companions from Greece, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and all of Europe who have mobilized to come here.” The main objective, as stated on the official Sumud website, is still the primary one of challenging the Israeli naval blockade. Being so used to car-centric places, too much caution, thinking and looking in my part caused problems for everyone else. I felt strangely light-headed and like I could smell something odd. I searched the house for disaster, but couldn't find anything. Couldn't shake the feeling that something smelled vaguely burning. The national news kindly confirmed I'm not suffering a stroke when it sent out the alert "entire country enveloped in smoke as forest fire rages" #netherlands

This is cool! In the #Netherlands we have this orange things on trash bins so people can put in empty cans that people can return for a small deposit I just talked a while with an elderly man who was biking around and collecting these, he told me he earned a few hundred euros a month extra this way since he’s with pension and has plenty of time and wants to keep things clean Love those creative solution!

Today's weather was really nice and the #assenliggers went for a bike ride as we do on Sundays. @twilwel@mastodon.nl, @TheoZw@mastodon.nl and Gert provided the excellent company today. My personal target for today was to reach a total of 0.08 Gm on the bike computer in my Mango velomobile, which was reached a few km before I got home. 84 km in total. Dutch civil servant fired because he spoke up against the takeover of #Solvinity that provides the #DigiD service. DigiD is the central system that is used in the #Netherlands to log in into official government and related services. Solvinity, the company hosting DigiD will probably be taken over by Kyndryl, a US company. Il Tempo: La firma dell'Iran sugli attacchi alle sinagoghe: chi c'è dietro al gruppo Ashab Al Yamim Si chiama 'Ashab Al Yamim', si traduce come 'Compagni di Destra' o 'Popolo della Destra', il gruppo che questa settimana ha rivendicato la responsabilità di tre attacchi contro istituzioni ebraiche in Europa. Ne scrive in esclusiva il Jerusalem Post ricordando il primo attentato a una sinagoga di Liegi, in Belgio, lunedì. Seguito da un attacco in Grecia mercoledì e a un incendio doloso a una sinagoga di Rotterdam, nei Paesi Bassi, venerdì. Il riferimento alla ''destra'', nel nome, non ha un significato politico, ma piuttosto di "retto" o "giusto" come ha spiegato Ohad Merlin, ricercatore presso il programma regionale di Mind Israel, al Jerusalem Post. Il Corano, ha precisato, usa infatti spesso 'destra' e 'sinistra' come metafore. Il gruppo, di cui prima di questa settimana non si conosceva l'esistenza, non possiede un proprio canale su Telegram, né è presente sui social media. Ma i video degli attacchi condotti da Ashab Al Yamim sono apparsi rapidamente sui canali Telegram dell'asse sciita, come quelli associati a Hezbollah o ai Pasdaran, il che suggerire un collegamento con organizzazioni affiliate all'Iran. Il logo del gruppo raffigura un braccio teso verso l'alto che impugna un fucile, puntato verso destra, con dietro l'immagine di un mappamondo. Questo logo ha le stesse caratteristiche dei loghi dei gruppi terroristici iraniani o guidati dall'Iran. Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq, Hezbollah in Libano e le Guardie Rivoluzionarie in Iran utilizzano tutti la stessa immagine di una mano che impugna un fucile puntato verso destra, sovrapposta a un mappamondo. Iran’s signature on the synagogue attacks: who is behind the Ashab Al Yamim group It is called ‘Ashab Al Yamim’, which translates as ‘Companions of the Right’ or ‘People of the Right’, the group that this week has claimed responsibility for three attacks against Jewish institutions in Europe. The Jerusalem Post writes about it exclusively, recalling the first attack on a synagogue in Liege, Belgium, on Monday. Followed by an attack in Greece on Wednesday and an arson attack on a synagogue in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Friday. The reference to ‘right’ in the name does not have a political meaning, but rather one of “righteous” or “correct” as explained by Ohad Merlin, researcher at the Mind Israel regional program, to the Jerusalem Post. The Quran, he clarified, often uses ‘right’ and ‘left’ as metaphors. The group, of which no knowledge was previously known before this week, does not have its own Telegram channel and is not present on social media. However, the videos of the attacks carried out by Ashab Al Yamim quickly appeared on Telegram channels of the Shia axis, such as those associated with Hezbollah or the Pasdaran, suggesting a connection with organizations affiliated with Iran. The group’s logo depicts an arm raised upwards wielding a rifle pointed to the right, with the image of a world map behind it. This logo has the same characteristics as the logos of Iranian terrorist groups or groups led by Iran.
