Ah cool das tool zum Einbinden von Festplatten funktioniert einwandfrei (bis auf das es in französisch ist).
Zusätzliche interne SSD und HDD werden jetzt immer gemountet.

Mein Homeserver wurde soeben erfolgreich auf das brandneue #NixOS 26.05 (#Yarara) aktualisiert. 🚀
Technische Details:
🐧 Kernel: Linux 6.18 LTS
⚙️ Nix-Version: 2.31.5
🛡️ Systemd-Resolved: DNSStubListener deaktiviert, um Port 53 für AdGuard Home freizugeben
📦 7/7 Podman Container (AdGuard, OpenCloud, OnlyOffice, Jellyfin, Audiobookshelf, Homepage) & Caddy laufen stabil nach Hot-Reload.
💾 Backup: BorgBackup um 20:00 Uhr erfolgreich durchgelaufen.
Alles läuft reibungslos im grünen Bereich!

Why does the critical-path of my #NixOS startup say that the graphical.target depends on (indirectly) bluetooth device coming up which is apparently being waited for by sound.target which for whatever reason is needed by DNS (systemd-resolved.service).
And what is this shit why does apparently my entire system depend on bluetooth.service?
What did I misconfigure that #NixOS generated such a shitty dependency graph?!?

Setting up niri + DMS, fingers crossed.
The unlimited scrolling is the big appeal, as I'm running out of workspaces, having to bundle 3-4 apps in a stacked layout in one workspace, not too handy.
niri should solve all that, but during my last run, the config was pretty minimal, resulting in an underwhelming experience.
I discovered DMS the other day, which should make niri nice and fully configured.

a console tool like filelight but for memory allocations would be great right now. I really would like to know what process is holding onto these 111GB that are still in memory when htop shows not a single process with more than 0 anymore.
And even if I go off of what it shows as reserved the most is ovs with 17GB...

Time to convert my arcade machine over to NixOS. Does this make sense considering I have a working CachyOS setup on it already? No, but something making sense has never stopped me before.
Though it will never stop feeling odd firing up Visual Studio to update my NixOS setup to handle new hosts.

I hate NixOS but I love NixOS.
So i wrote a Blogpost to explain.
And no it is not just "i can never leave NixOS"
