Hi to our #donors and well-wishers, We have posted a new update on our fundraiser. We have also reactivated our fundraiser again as we continue working toward completing the project. We have reached the stage where things have become harder to break through, even though we are close to the finish line. The update explains everything that is happening on the ground, and we hope that, with your continued support, we can get through this stage. Thank you again for your generous support.https://www.gofundme.com/f/water-well-at-eco-youths-farm #regenerativeagriculture #fediGive #support #mastodonnews #sustainability

The clay bricks have arrived at the well site. These high-quality bricks are suitable for water proofing the well and anywhere where there is water. It took us time to find the right ones, but the search was worth it👍 To all our #donors your support is making a huge difference as you can see from the progress we have so far at the well site, thank you once again for standing with us. #mastonews #foodsecurity #regenerativeagriculture #solarpunk #gardening

"Nutrients in our food are declining. Can regenerative agriculture save it? Approach focuses on rebuilding soil health, increasing biodiversity and restoring natural ecosystems For the last few decades, the nutrient content of our crops has been declining. In the late 90s, the US Department of Agriculture found the vitamin C content of lemons had decreased by almost a third over the previous 22 years. Calcium in carrots, an important source especially for non-meat eaters, had reduced, on average, by more than a quarter. Vitamin A in bananas was down by 57%. The mineral content of wheat has declined by between 20-30% since the 1960s. ,..,,.,.,. The way soil is treated by modern farming may be part of the problem. Ploughing and heavy use of chemicals – fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides – disturb and even destroy the soil’s mycorrhizal networks, which we are only just coming to understand but allow plants to pull in nutrients from the earth." https://www.theguardian.com/food/2026/jul/24/nutrition-food-declining-can-regenerative-agriculture-save-it #RegenerativeAgriculture #agriculture #pesticides #chemicals #fertilisers #herbicides #ecosystem #climate #food

Our water well project has now reached a more challenging stage. The team has encountered large stones underground, including one so heavy that it took four people working together to turn the pulley and remove it. Today marks Day 5 since the project began. We are deeply grateful to everyone standing with us. Your support is making a real difference and helping this work move forward on the ground. We continue to welcome and appreciate every contribution to our fundraiser as we get closer to securing a reliable water source for our regenerative farm and gardens. Thank you for being part of this journey. https://www.gofundme.com/f/water-well-at-eco-youths-farm/cl/s?utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_content=amp20_t1&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&lang=en #sustainablibility #regenerativeagriculture #permaculture #climatechange #fedisupport

Nothing goes to waste on our farm. We collected discarded eggshells from our local trading center #Lunnya and crashed them by hand into a fine powder, as shown in the photos. We plan to apply them to our tomato garden as a natural source of calcium which supports healthy plant development and helps reduce blossom end rot. We apply them in the right quantities, as excessive use over time can raise soil pH and make the soil too alkaline. What do you use eggshells for in your garden? We'd love to hear your tips. #regenerativeagriculture #permacultureimpact #soil_health #gardentips

Our crops are slowly fading because our land has no reliable water source. Each dry day threatens the harvest, weakens our mission, and puts years of hard work at risk. We refuse to give up on our dream of growing nutritious food, empowering young people through sustainable agriculture, and protecting our environment. And so we decided to come back and share with you what we are passing through, and here your donation, no matter the amount, will help us secure a reliable water source, save our crops, and keep hope alive for our community. Please stand with us today. In the photos below, you will see our banana plantation which is part of our surviving crops, before the dry season and how they look today after being affected by the prolonged lack of water😞 https://www.gofundme.com/f/water-well-at-eco-youths-farm/cl/s?utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_content=amp20_t1&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&lang=en_US #sustainability #foodsecurity #bananaplantations #climatechange #regenerativeagriculture #gofundmecampaign #draughting

#Today's garden was so nice and workable since each member was able to say that wheel power has no obstacles. So this right hand side of the girls yard (wing) we were able to occupy the space through turning empty spaces to full squares with a reason of changing an empty stomach to a full stomach. Who's believing that a garden can make it in all ways? 🌱🇺🇬 #gardening #flowers #farming #agroecology #regenerativeagriculture

#solarpunksunday #garden #gardening #garten #jardin #regenerativeagriculture French study shows that regenerative farming has a protective effect during times of drought. Regenerative farms produce a higher yield than crops industrially managed when there is water scarcity. https://www.thecooldown.com/green-tech/regenerative-farming-france-drought-yield-stability/

I figured someone, somewhere, is trying to grow food that doesn’t murder the soil. Someone has terabytes of wildlife camera monitoring and drowning in footage. Someone has a brilliant idea and absolutely no software skills or budget. Maybe we can help. We’re just people who can code, but maybe “just people who can code” might be exactly what someone needs right now. We’re already collaborating with some rewilding projects, and we’d like to do more of it and meet more people trying to do things that matter. The few people we talked to, who are fighting the important fights, are using broken tools, or no tools at all. Maybe we can be of use to people protecting and restoring ecosystems, innovating sustainable food systems, or those tracking what’s actually happening to the living world around us. We don’t have all the answers. I don’t even have most of the questions most days, and I’m trying my best to learn. But we’re good at software, we can build things that work, and we’d rather build things that matter. To end this thread, I’m casting a wide net but if you’re trying to save one specific part of the world and software is the thing standing between you and doing it better—please talk to us! We want to meet you. #OpenScience #Conservation #RestorativeAgriculture #RegenerativeAgriculture #EcologyInAction #CitizenScienc #Biodiversity #ForestRestoration #Agroecology #SoilScience

Farmers and activists from North and South America gathered in Santiago, Chile, to strategize on tackling climate change despite the COP25 cancellation. They emphasized the critical role of #Agroecology in fostering sustainable practices and restoring climate stability. Notably, the Argentine seed company Constelación Semillas Agroecológicas was recognized for its achievements in #RegenerativeAgriculture. https://act.web-advocacy.net/page/15700/action/1?locale=en-US
