I got the #Tarot for You and Me a while back, as an impulse purchase. Today, I looked at it. The major arcana is very #femme-forward. The suits are lanterns, chalices, flags, and plants. The court consists of the Child, Sibling, the Queen, and the Elder. As a #transgender #man, I do not see myself in this deck. I'm sure it's amazing for #trans #women / #transfem, #enby, and maybe #agender and other #queer folks. I'll be handing it to a friend who takes #consignments.

Wendy Jones points out (in the FT) there's an unacknowledged, wide-spread femicide taking place in the realm of popular literature & on TV. We might argue that fiction & entertainment have no real social impact, but the normalisation of the killing of women for entertainment purposes, at the very least, reflects our social values; at worst it normalises behaviours that solidify as domestic violence & sexual abuse. As she suggests, at the very least we should be asking: why? #politics #women
