This is Li gravfält - a burial site from the 9th and 10th century AD. It's very close to the Kattegat, so of course I expected lots of Viking Age finds. Over a hundred standing stones (up to 5 m tall!) and some ship stone settings have been placed here. They are not marked and only few graves have been researched, so we don't know for whom they were placed. There are even some older findings, of ancient roads and settlements. A remarkable place, surrounded by nice hiking trails - recommended if you are in Southern Sweden! #gravfält #halland #sweden #vikingage #oldstuff #stonesetting #raisedstones

I have to say that #Sweden is great. Not too much people, wild camping allowed (with some rules), you can use quite spacious shelters and you never know what might surprise you (like someone starting steam train when you just take shortcut). For #bikepacking or #biketouring it is great summer destination, not too hot or too cold and usually nice bike paths. #biketooter

It just occured to me [again] that my effectiveness as a #CISO in #Sweden would be severely diminished, if we had strict enforcement on how only #lawyers can give #legal advice. Too much of the weight in any #security argument I make has to come from a "or else we break the law", and I suppose stringently I am not formally qualified to make that prediction. I do refer/escalate to Legal, but not all the time. It must really suck for US CISOs.

Searching for Ingmar Bergman’s soul on Sweden’s Fårö island. Captivated by the stark beauty of its landscapes, Bergman lived on the small Baltic island and filmed several of his movies there until his death in 2007. Starting at age 60, he also gathered his nine children – born to six different women – at his home on the island. Not saying it has to be a car, but individually controlled means of transport are crucial to society and economy. As an example, I invite you to study the importance of the moped as personal transport for rural northern #Sweden, especially wrt economy and perhaps even genetics.
