Nach dem ich von #linux mint sehr begeistert bin, kämpfe ich grade mit #libreoffice. Ist schon krass, wie so eine #microsoft Prägung schwer wieder rauszukriegen ist. Konkret geht es um Formeln in LibreOffice. Es gibt das OLE-Objekt Formeln, mit dem ich formeln schreiben kann, aber damit komme ich echt nicht gut klar. Habe das TexMath-Plugin installiert, aber kriege es grade noch nicht zum Laufen. Bevor ich hier weitermache: wie macht ihr das? #fedilz

Anfang Juli lizenziere ich #Softmaker #OfficeNX für fast die Hälfte des Preises.
#LibreOffice kommt für mich nicht in Frage. Zu viele Bugs in für mich wichtigen Funktionen.
Ein weiterer Schritt weg von #BigTech und wieder ein wohltuendes #UnplugTrump.

Es geschehen noch Zeichen und Wunder ... Noch vor einigen Jahren war Linux der erklärte Lieblingsfeind von Microsoft (MS). Man hätte gedacht: Eher friert die Hölle zu, als dass MS Linux anfasst. Dann kam, etwas verschämt unterm Ladentisch gehalten, das Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). Die Azure Server für Cloud-Computing laufen unter Linux*. Und jetzt das: MS hat mehr als 75 Linux-Kommandos (Werkzeuge für die Kommandozeile/Terminal) zu Windows übertragen. Dort heißen sie Coreutils (Kernwerkzeuge). Was kommt da noch? Kann man sich denn auf gar nichts mehr verlassen?

#microsoft #windows Verwender sind da, auf deutsch gesagt, richtig gefickt, da Windows bekanntermaßen mit zu wenig RAM, und 8 GB sind zu wenig, nicht gut klar kommt. Es muss häufiger auf die Platte ausgelagert werden, was den Rechner ausbremst. #apple #macos und #linux verkraften weniger RAM deutlich besser.
Und eigentlich will die Industrie, dass ihr deren neues, endgeiles KI-Spielzeug benutzt, weil das ja angeblich die Zukunft ist und so.
Also wird die Zukunft teuer durch KI, aber auch besser? Vor allem besser für wen? Doch zuallererst einmal für die Industrie und deren wenige Inhaber großer Tech-Konzerne. Denn selbst deren kleinen IT-Angestellte sind dank der KI wohl bald schon arbeitslos. Und noch viel mehr werden folgen.
Toll, oder? Eine Welt von Multi-Milliardären und Arbeitslosen ...
