Just setup my new AirPlay speakers and tried to choose them as sound device. Apparently that is not possible when the device is in Lockdown mode. I used #linux as my driver since the late 90’s (started with Caldera Linux, then moved to SuSE, as it was called at the time). In 2020, I caved and bought a #macbookpro (M1). Fell for the hype. Loved it. Proper command line, really great hardware. But for the last few years, yearning for Linux again. Will probably pull the trigger on a #tuxedo or #starlabs laptop later this year. #buyeuropean

This weekend, I really need to check into running #HaikuOS on a #MacBookPro. I really loved #BeOS back in the day, and it seems like this would be a fun little plafform to develop apps for fun.

Endlich habe ich meinem MacbookPro 2015 neues Leben eingehaucht. Nachdem ich mit großem Interesse die Vorträge von @stoeps@infosec.exchange auf media.ccc.de zu immutable Linux Desktops gesehen hatte, fiel meine Wahl auf @UniversalBlue@fosstodon.org genauer Aurora. Bis auf die Webcam wurde die Hardware sehr gut erkannt. Da findet sich sicher noch eine Lösung, ist mir aber nicht so wichtig.
