Fully a week late: the latest issue of The Gods and Their Croziers is out! This is Ailbhe, a Sun God and a patron of Harmony. They're a gender-ambiguous mess of archetypes that seem to come out differently in every mythology. Their closest _singular_ parallel seems to be Vishnu, but may have once included Mars. There's every reason to think that they're esoterically the Daytime face of an evening counterpart whose nature similarly encompasses the Moon and the Evening/Morning Star: Midir/Bréanainn and Aengus/Moling. And possibly a third or even fourth pairing for the Night and the Dawn. I'm still working this out. This issue is dense, and full of comparisons across multiple mythologies. It's got Loki! It's got Paris and Hector! It's got Cúchulainn and it's got Karna and Duryodhana! It's a mess! I'm currently sick, so my plans to celebrate the Equinox a few days early tomorrow might need to be pushed back to the actual Equinox on Tuesday. I have shortened my rite to the Diwós Sunū ( the proto-Indo-European Dioskuroi ) so I can perform it after work. If I'm recovered by the full moon on the 29th I might perform my longer, complete rite with some adjusted language (not the Equinox, just an early autumn rite to the Divine Twins). #Heathenry #Druidry #Paganism #Polytheism

Today's issue of The Gods and Their Croziers is out! This time it's Eithne, AKA Boann, Fidelm, Feada (and maybe Cíarnait?). She's probably also Findchoem and Ness. Most outwardly a "mother" goddess, Eithne goes waay deeper than that: she's a goddess of wisdom and prophesy, and aligns well internationally with Cosmogonic Water/Cow goddesses such as Viraja and Adumbla.
