Fun story: @Jillianmarisa@vmst.io and I used this cheap edging at our old place. We decided we didn’t like it. It’s wavy if your yard isn’t perfectly level-whose isn’t? Also, plastic is dumb. We used it all, had no plans for more.
Then kid 1 and I volunteered at a river cleanup. Our team fished a whole roll of it out of the Missouri River 😑.
Rather than landfill it, here we are.

Very pleased with #reuse of my #AlohaApple iPhone SE 1st Gen as a single-tasking music player.
Install VLC, log out of iTunes, copy MP3 files and playlists to VLC via USB or VLC-wifi, cell and wifi off, enjoy.
Runs old iOS but radios off, so who cares. Bluetooth 4.2 just works better than most modern BT5.X systems. 3.5mm jack for wired headphones. 16GB or more storage. 4 oz.
e-waste in a drawer to tunes in my pocket.👍

The UK’s first Circular Construction Hub has opened in the Royal Docks, marking a step towards the Mayor of London’s target for the capital to be zero carbon by 2030. Backed by Sadiq Khan and Rokhsana Fiaz, the site aims to #reuse and #recycle construction materials that would otherwise go to landfill.
Set to become Europe’s largest facility of its kind, the hub forms the first phase of a wider Circular Economy Village in Newham. It will support plans for 36,000 new homes and 55,000 jobs in the Royal Docks, including the Silvertown development, while helping cut embodied carbon. The project is being delivered with charity Tipping Point East and Newham Council, and is expected to divert at least 950 tonnes of waste from landfill over five years, boosting green skills and jobs in east #London.
