My Proxmox VE is now officially using Keycloak OIDC for authentication, and the setup is fantastic:

Centralized Users: Managed alongside my other apps (Keycloak using my LDAP as the backend).

Hardware MFA: Locked down with a FIDO2 stick from @nitrokey@social.nitrokey.com

Unified Control: Centralized policies, logging, and RBAC across the board.

I feel somewhat bare, backups have been made, core services moved to a single #proxmox next stage is to re-purpose the proxmox cluster ready to deploy kubernetes via #rancher on the nodes
Then, with the help of #ai setup help charts for my apps and figure out how to use #gitea to host them and pipeline for updates

I wrote up my entire backup strategy for my across FreeBSD and Linux:
- ZFS snapshots with sanoid
- Off-site replication via syncoid to rsync.net (encrypted at rest)
- Proxmox Backup Server fronting Backblaze B2 for VMs
- A Podman trick for backing up RHEL hosts without native packages
- Dead man’s switch monitoring
- Quarterly restore tests recorded with asciinema

The EMC disk shelf decided it wanted to ramp the fans to "taking off the flight deck of an aircraft carrier", so I decided to updated all the Proxmox nodes, the NAS, and then power cycle the EMC disk shelf.
Fortunately, that worked and everything is back online. Definitely a pain in the ass though...
