I have a bunch of old .mbox files from previous and unused Thunderbird accounts. I'd like to convert these files to individual .eml or even better text files so I can archive and search them better as I'm not loading them in Thunderbird anymore. Is there a utility for that somewhere?

Looking at the #Vivaldi browser & am intrigued by the email client option. I use #Zoho right now. Could Vivaldi replace that? Can this email client work with #Thunderbird?

A nice "back to school" hiccup with email this weekend. Unsurprisingly, the authentication bits from #Thunderbird to #Firefox don't work with #Librewolf because the entire OAuth thing is insane but whatever. Anywho ... installing Firefox for the ONETIME auth to get thunderbird to resume pulling IMAP email is something that makes me grind my teeth at night and want to throw all of civilization into the sea.

man, #Thunderbird really has become absolute ass. like maybe I'm a decade or more late to realizing this because I didn't use it so long, but the UX is absolutely atrocious. how many fucking times does it need to download the same set of messages in the same folder???

After more than a year on the waitlist, my Thundermail Early Bird invite finally landed. I subscribed without a second of hesitation and grabbed dol@tb.pro and dima@tb.pro before anyone else could. Do I need them? Absolutely not. I already run my own three-letter domain, I am on Proton Visionary, Apple One Premier, and a dozen mailboxes I barely open. But this was never about need. I want @thunderbird@mastodon.online to make it. I want at least one piece of email infrastructure left standing that Big Tech cannot swallow. That is worth a subscription without a use case. Frage an die iserv User unter euch: Kann man die iserv Dienste (Mail, Chat, Kalender ...) irgendwie auch außerhalb des Portals konsumieren? Wenn man sich nicht täglich in das System einloggt, verpasst man wichtige Informationen. 🙄 Kann man die Mail-Accounts in separate Mail-Clients (Thunderbird, K9, ..) einbinden?
