Are there any logos available for marking that an #OpenSource project is AI-free? I found https://notbyai.fyi/ but it looks a bit scammy. #FuckAI

Is it wrong to really hate #AI, and disable Copilot in Microsoft Outlook, then reenable it because you like the pretty colors of the Copilot b-hole logo, and then get mad all over again and disable it? #FuckAI #FuckCopilot #FuckMicrosoft

RE: https://cyberplace.social/@GossiTheDog/117045200596075081 No, we cannot fucking allow this to let slide. It's already too much 'ugh fine' moment, the scarcity are artificial, not because of any disaster situation. These fucking tech manufacture companies must keep provide the consumer with fair price before AI boom. If they can't or don't obey they must be punished! Hardware scarcity is threat to tech security, threat to security means threat to cyber security. Threats of cyber security are threat actors. Meaning hardware companies are no better than any APTs or cyber crooks out there. #cybersecurity #infosec #security #Fuckai

Big deal. Since they probably asked Claude to generate a strategy, it’ll leak into Google search results and we can just read it there. #AI #FuckAI https://fed.brid.gy/r/https://www.wired.com/story/the-white-house-is-keeping-its-ai-cybersecurity-framework-secret/

Earlier, I referred to AI as "capitalism metastasized" in some friends' group chat, and the more I roll that phrase over in mind, the more apt it seems. #FuckAI

Those who own knowledge, own humanity. If you own knowledge you own history, now and future. Knowledge is kept in books, those who own books own the knowledge. They dstroy a book you destroyed knowledge it contains. Books and knowledge should be owned by whole society - should be seen as public good. #FuckAI #FuckCapitalism

Recently I needed to quickly edit a picture to remove a few bits. So I fired up Paint on my windows machine to do that. Reader, did you know that Paint now has AI features? And like my experience with AI everywhere it's shit at its job. The only thing I wanted to do was erase some stuff, but the erase function is now "generative erase", meaning it spent about 5-10 seconds thinking on how to erase things AND THEN DIDN'T ERASE ALL OF IT. #ai #fuckai #microslop

I know this is a stupid question but why isn't the FBI at OpenAI headquarters arresting people for illegally hacking into other companies? If I wrote some shitty software and it hacked some company you can guarantee I'd be arrested for it. But since it's an AI company that made this god awful software the company is no longer responsible? Makes total sense. #fuckai #fucksamaltman

I know Mastodon hates LLM's and AI. So here goes! I recently got access to trusted access of cyber capabilities of both openai and anthropic, which also allows you to weaponize security vulnerabilities. The speed at which these parrots can find bugs and be creative enough to exploit them is staggering. I recently pointed an LLM at an kernel fix that was reachable by an unprivileged namespace on Debian and it fully weaponized it, without too much me prompting it in the right direction, in about 7-9 hours. I don't think open-source and companies will know what's coming for them once these open-source weight models will have broader reach and get better at exploiting vulnerabilities on a massive scale as anyone can access them. The bottom line I think is, you cannot patch faster than the attackers can easily chain all kinds of vulnerabilities together and just move laterally on an incredibly fast pace. I've started reporting vulnerabilities to all kinds of projects and the majority have trouble or patching issues found. There's not enough maintainers, or there's simply none anymore. I've been getting quite worried about what our future will look like for data privacy. I think outright not running an LLM over your codebase to find critical security vulnerabilities because of your moral stance will keep us more insecure. Please run an LLM over your code base if it's internet facing or something critical, we thank you! Can't wait for the discussions on this!

At this point, it's who has the shittier AI policy. Sure, there are a few Linux distributions that are staunchly anti-AI, and I appreciate them so much, but the kernel is tainted (Thanks, Torvalds). And in my research, I'm finding most BSDs are tainted, as well, with some form of AI crap. If the Debian project votes to go AI, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'll probably go with one of the Linux distributions that are staunchly anti-AI and doing everything they can to avoid it (I see you, @elementary@mastodon.social ❤️). I fucking hate AI so much. It's ruined everything that I have loved about using Linux and Open Source software for the past 30+ years. And what's worse is that the people and/or projects using AI proudly announce that they are using it. I'm sick of all of it. #noai #fuckai #ai

reminder to all the people who are reluctantly trying out LLMs for coding or other tasks and then frustrated-surprised when it does a good job: a) of course it does a good job, it's repurposing and adapting massive amounts of stolen code and human creativity; b) it will do a good job until it doesn't, and you won't know the difference unless you deeply understand what it's doing in the first place; c) it is vastly inefficient and is only affordable now (if at all) because the techbro corps are still fighting for the monopoly they need so they can dominate the market and then crank up the costs tenfold; d) the nature of these systems is mimicry plus a dash of crowd sourced feedback, and are mathematically unable to achieve any of the AGI superintelligence bullshit that the Corp CEOs are leading their cult followers to believe; e) participating in this train wreck is making climate change more catastrophic, cut it the fuck out #ai #llm #fuckai
