如果您使用来自中国互联网公司的电子邮件传送接受服务商，请停止使用

众所周知，在中国、几乎所有互联网服务都需要实名制

电子邮件这项服务也不例外

其实如果通过实名制后可以不影响使用还好

但是恰恰一点非常反制，那就是中国电子邮件传送接受服务商封锁了对于非中国大陆的电子邮件传送接受服务商发送与接收

俺没有 Gmail 邮箱传送的历程

因此，Gmail 作为国际著名邮箱或许可以无限制

还有非常重要的一点，就是不要使用中国电子邮件传送接受服务商注册被 GFW 屏蔽的非中国大陆的互联网服务

这点在互联网上面很多人强盗这一点，但互联网上面来自中国的互联网用户还是这样做

@WeirdWriter@caneandable.social Using disposable email addresses is pretty much an absolute requirement these days. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT EVER give out your main email address. ALWAYS give out *single-purpose* disposable addresses and keep a list of which were used for what. People will look at you weirdly for giving them an alias or otherwise disposable email address, but just tell them that's the one they're getting. Have a few unused ones written down somewhere easily reachable for that random need. #email

A few tips on making email fun and enjoyable again. No seriously Never register to a newsletter. Use RSS instead. This will cut down on more emails than you think Use email alias and disposable email addresses. If you’re going away on vacation, temporarily disable the disposable email addresses or aliases until you return. Actually use email for lengthy non-business communication. It’s very soothing. Instead of keeping things in your email, move those to a notes text file for easier sorting later. Schedule non important folders to automatically delete if your provider supports it. Ban addresses instead of clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of emails. Create a designated important/to do folder that never automatically deletes. Move important/action items into that folder. Switch all reading views to plain text. Emails are not web pages and should never be treated as a web page. If the information can go into a text document, it does not belong in your email storage. #FediTips #Email

I’m not sure what to call this phenomenon, but it’s very unique to non disabled or tech people. It’s kind of like a person sees that a curb doesn’t have a curb cut for a wheelchair, so rather than fixing the problem, they order a private jet to take the wheelchair user anywhere they want to go. Achtung - es kursieren gerade täuschend nachgemachte Mails, die den Eindruck erwecken, von der Deutschen Rentenversicherung zu stammen. Angeblich soll man eine aktuelle Renteninformation anfordern und sich hierzu auf dem Rentenportal einloggen. Die Mails enthalten hierzu sowohl eine Schaltfläche als auch einen Link. BEIDE VERKNÜPFUNGEN SIND FAKE und leiten weiter zu einer dubiosen Internet-Homepage, die vermutlich speziell dafür eingerichtet wurde, persönliche Daten abzugreifen. ALSO NICHT ANKLICKEN - am besten die Mail löschen! #cybersecurity #rente #phishing #email Und bitte: informiert Nachbarn, Freunde und Bekannte über diesen Sachverhalt, damit sie nicht aus Unachtsamkeit persönliche Daten an Betrüger preisgeben.

At work we use MS Outlook for email. I have switched off all genAI / Copilot features, but Microsoft of course resets the system at every opportunity and the other day I had Copilot on against my wishes. I was busy and left it on whilst I dealt with some urgent emails. Jeez! The intrusive way in which the interface pushes the genAI features on you! Can't open someone's email without being steered by the system to have AI summarise it for you. It's barely a choice, more the default. I imagine many colleagues have it on all the time and use it when they get my carefully crafted messages. The times when you could assume that the recipient actually sees your text are gone. I know that people are bad at parsing emails, but thus far one could assume they _see_ the text and one could write to help them parse it reasonably well. Not any more. The times we live in. @mthie@fedi.mthie.com nun, es gibt mit @delta@chaos.social ne passende Lösung samt echter #E2EE (also #SelfCustody aller Schlüssel!) die anders als @signalapp@mastodon.world auch #GoBD / #HGB-konformceinrichtbar ist sodass #Archivierung funktioniert. Weil #deltaChat nutzt #eMail! Ich sehe aber #Signal hier in der Mitverantwortung, weil zentralisierte, proprietäre Lösung = Verantwortung…

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net I mean, since #eMail does allow for "Store & Forward" setups (With early Networks literally mailing tapes and then uucp'ing #eMails locally, I'd not be surprised if @delta@chaos.social is used that way by many dissidents instead paper to communicate externally. Heck I'm shure folks at #AsiaOress's #RimjinGang are exploring it for #airgapped communication alog their #SneakerNet.
