I dunno WTF happened, but in the last few weeks it seems Gmail’s spam filtering just decided to stop working. What is normally a 50 email per week box for me has jumped to over 1000 emails a week. It’s nuts. #gmail #enshittification

#swepost Det digitala samhället 😑 Min vän lyckades slänga sin mobili havet. Han behöver logga in på Hallon för att både beställa en ny mobil och ett nytt simkort. För att kunna logga in på Hallon så behöver han BankID (vilket ju inte går då telefonen ligger på havets botten). Ett andra alternativ är att logga in med engångskod som skickas till hans mejl (gmail). Men han kan inte logga in på sin mejl på min dator för att Google kräver att han godkänner på sin mobil, alternativt att de skickar ett SMS till hans nummer. Moment 22. Det går ju inte heller ringa till de här billighetsoperatörerna och prata med dem. Han hade en bankdosa som dels va slut på batteri och dels kommer han inte ihåg PIN till den. Hans gamla telefon är för gammal för att köra BankID. Så vi fick börja med att gå till banken idag och skaffa en ny bankdosa. Nästa steg är att han får låna en nyare telefon som kan köra BankID. Med bankdosan hoppas vi kunna få in BankID så han sen kan beställa både mobil och nytt simkort från Hallon. Men jag kom nyss på att ofta behöver man ju nu även pass eller nationellt-ID för att kunna få in BankID på en ny telefon och jag vet inte om han har något av det. #BankID #Hallon #Mobil #Moment22 #DetDigitalaSamhället #Problem #Gmail #Google

It's not suspicious at all that #Gmail is marking as spam the notifications people were sent about a class action settlement for which #Google is the defendant and liable to pay out proceeds. One would have thought the plaintiffs' lawyers would have included as a condition of the settlement Google's obligation to ensure that the email notifications did not get marked as spam. #PSA If you're an #Android user and you didn't get a notice a few weeks ago, check your Gmail spam folder. #classAction

AWS Middle East Central data centres have been attacked. This is a good reminder that the cloud is just someone else's computer. And maybe it doesn't make sense to rely on cloud providers to store your photos, backups, emails, etc, if those cloud providers are now legitimate military targets. Google Photos is now on the front lines 😬 #AWS #GCP #Azure #Gmail
