It took me about 2 days to transfer over 250 GB of photos from Google Photos to @pixelunion@mastodon.social. Now my photos are safe and sound in Europe. The face recognition works even better than Google's, and Immich is an awesome piece of software. I would have hosted this entirely on my own like my Nextcloud, but paying a couple of bucks for 450 GB of storage and a fast server is a real bargain and saves me the hassle. Google lakkauttaa etenkin valokuvaajien ja tehokäyttäjien käytössä olleen ratkaisun Tietokoneen hakemistoja ei pysty enää kesän jälkeen synkronoimaan automaattisesti Google Kuviin. Google Kuvat saapuu Samsungin televisioihin Googlen kuvapalvelu integroituu tiukasti osaksi koko Samsungin television käyttöliittymää. Jatkossa televisio nostaa esiin automaattisesti valittuja muistoja ja hetkiä - aivan kuten kännykän Google Kuvissakin.
