ich hab bei meiner Recherche für mein #PIM (ist der Name eigentlich standard gewesen oder hatte Karl den entwickelt?) #Obsidian angesehen und mich bewusst für #emacs und #orgmode entschieden aber, mein #adhs Gehirn macht gerade nicht mit, weil Obsidian ja diese tolle Vernetzung Chart hat, die ist so toll, das brauchst du unbedingt ja wirklich nein, Hirn, brauche ich nicht. Prompted from the latest #Emacs Canvas patch discussion, me and @minad@mastodon.world worked on making canvas work in display margins. We wondered if it would work in the mode-line, and voila it does! Look at that looping magical thing in the mode-line. The best part is that none of this is memory intensive or laggy anymore :D

How do people manage to shoot themselves with rm? I’ve done so with disk partitioning, I’ve done that with #Git, but I can’t think of any such cases with rm 🤔 (Maybe it’s because I’m doing most of my file management with #Emacs + Dired…) #Linux #Unix

I have just added a new feature to my Jinx spell-checking package. The new command jinx-remove-word removes words from the personal dictionary, file-local variables and so on. Reuben Thomas (the maintainer of the Enchant library backing Jinx) suggested this addition. He is also an #emacs and #jinx user! https://github.com/minad/jinx/discussions/269
