I'm noticing more and more web pages aren't working in @librewolf@chaos.social. I don't think for a second this is something wrong with #LibreWolf. I'm certain it's that more and more web sites aren't working with tracking bullshit blocked. IE - The privacy thing isn't broken, it's just working exactly as it's supposed to. The web is broken.

A nice "back to school" hiccup with email this weekend. Unsurprisingly, the authentication bits from #Thunderbird to #Firefox don't work with #Librewolf because the entire OAuth thing is insane but whatever. Anywho ... installing Firefox for the ONETIME auth to get thunderbird to resume pulling IMAP email is something that makes me grind my teeth at night and want to throw all of civilization into the sea.

Thoughts on #opensource that allows for #LLM contributions. Even for projects where I am continuing to use the upstream project - #firefox / #librewolf, #jellyfin - the first thing I've done is to stop eating the freshly made dogfood. Jellyfin has an RC out. In the past, I might have tested it. Likewise, my main browser for years had been Firefox Nightly. No longer. The first shoe to drop is engagement - why should I test what #AI wrote? I'll let other people eat the slop instead.

Verschil tussen #Firefox en #LibreWolf op Linux Mint. En dit is niet de enige site waar dingen niet goed weergegeven worden in LibreWolf.

Did you know you can easily change application icons in Linux? In Plasma it's straightforward through the menu editor, but you can also do it via desktop files in the terminal. I have always loved the @librewolf@chaos.social icon they use on their Mastodon page. It includes the Pride flag with the Intersex and Trans Pride colors. I highly recommend swapping to it! Quick method: Download the icon to somewhere you keep it, like: ~/Pictures/icons/applications/.Copy the desktop file if it doesn't already exist in ~/.local/: cp /usr/share/applications/librewolf.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/Edit your desktop file: nano ~/.local/share/applications/librewolf.desktopChange the Icon= line to point to your new icon pathSave and refresh the desktop database or log out and back in. Small customization, big statement. 🏳️‍🌈 #Librewolf #Linux #Foss #Privacy #LGBTQIA #QueerTech #Pride

Just a reminder that @librewolf@chaos.social is the web browser that Firefox should be. Privacy, zero telemetry, and most importantly: #NoAI. And it's super easy to install: https://www.librewolf.net/installation/ #LibreWolf #Firefox #Privacy #FOSS

It’s really cool that Firefox now supports WebSerial too. I’ve uninstalled Chromium, I don’t need it any more #Firefox #LibreWolf #Webserial #Meshtastic #Meshcore

#LibreWolf v150.0.1-1 is now available! https://codeberg.org/librewolf/bsys6/releases/tag/150.0.1-1 https://librewolf.net/installation/ No major changes from LibreWolf's end. Unfortunately, we had to rotate one of our signing subkeys, as it was, for a very short period of time, exposed in a CI log. The CI log was swiftly removed with the help of Codeberg, but however unlikely it is, we cannot guarantee that another party hadn't viewed the key within that timeframe. 1/5

@robinsyl@meow.social I guess #LibreWolf copied this from @torproject@mastodon.social / #TorBrowser which also defaults to these settings for enhanced privacy… But yes, I wished more Browsers would allow full configureability like #LynxBrowser re: locale…Tho sadly the "advice" is true because the US-centric development of the Internet caused it!

@libreleah@mas.to has submitted the #librewolf port to #OpenBSD ports so fingers crossed it won't be too long until the package is available in -current . https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=177652909703481&w=2
