@Tutanota@mastodon.social I've just started my journey: moved fully to Tuta 2 weeks ago. #Bluefin Linux on laptop. #GrapheneOS in mobile; Using #LibreWolf and #Mullvad browser; #bitwarden: #enteauthenticator; #cryptpad for online docs; #signal for comms. And anxiously waiting for #tutadrive

Znalazłem oss zastępstwo prawie każdej appki z iOS (używałem dużo natywnych), tylko zostało mi coś do współdzielonych notatek i przypomnień z żoną. No i płatności NFC, tego nawet nie ruszałem, ale czytałem, że coś tam istnieje. Za to rzeczy o które się martwiłem - banki, appki do victrona, podpisów cyfrowym, mobywatel - wszystko śmiga. #microblog

I’m curious to know to which authorities Yoti, an “age verification” company, is supposed to report #GrapheneOS users, and on which grounds. There’s something so disturbingly wrong with the implied syllogism here. “Criminals use GrapheneOS, and you use GrapheneOS, therefore you must be a criminal“. How about this? “Epstein used an iPhone, and you use an iPhone, therefore you must be a pedophile“. https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/36134-grapheneos-user-reported-to-authorities-for-using-grapheneos

But frankly GrapheneOS profile on Fedi is already shady enough that they are already being seen as doing shady things. #grapheneos #fedi

GrapheneOS on the old Pixel 7 is doing great. I’ve just used it for a couple of hours and despite the battery use (which is typical of the Pixel 7) it’s always been smooth and reliable. Great OS. #GrapheneOS #Pixel

UPDATE: The GrapheneOS Community Manager reached out, and after discussion, I think this stemmed from a series of misunderstandings, rather than malice. More to follow shortly. ̶I̶ ̶h̶a̶d̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶u̶n̶f̶o̶r̶t̶u̶n̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶e̶x̶p̶e̶r̶i̶e̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶G̶r̶a̶p̶h̶e̶n̶e̶O̶S̶ ̶g̶u̶y̶,̶ ̶D̶a̶n̶i̶e̶l̶ ̶M̶i̶c̶a̶y̶,̶ ̶w̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶r̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶m̶e̶.̶ ̶I̶ ̶w̶r̶o̶t̶e̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶i̶t̶.̶ https://jcoscia.com/post/2026/05/30/an-incident-involving-daniel-micay/ #grapheneos #trans

sounds like the web is about to get a lot more annoying to use for #grapheneos users and others using #android devices with """compromised integrity""", people without smartphones, people using smartphones with other operating systems, etc.: https://support.google.com/recaptcha/answer/16609652 google's new "mobile reCAPTCHA verification" will require you to scan a QR code from either an iOS device with the reCAPTCHA app or an android device with up-to-date google play services. EDIT: this is part of google's new "fraud defense" system, and is (seemingly) intended to be used for more "important" things like purchases rather than just e.g. comment sections. however, there's nothing stopping site owners from using this thing everywhere

Google will require you to have a smartphone to browse the internet at all in the new iteration of ReCaptcha: https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/identity-security/introducing-google-cloud-fraud-defense-the-next-evolution-of-recaptcha You need to scan a QR code instead of solving captcha, and the phone needs to be connected to the computer by bluetooth. No phone? You don't get to browse the internet today. Android forks and other alt mobile OSes are excluded by design too. #privacy #google #android #security #grapheneoS

I guess it's impossible to remove Google from Android phones. I have disabled Google, but cannot delete it. And it re-enabled itself later. The only way out of this, I'm thinking, is an alternative operating system for the phone. http://john1126.com/746 #phone #Google #Android #GrapheneOS #CopperheadOS #DivestOS #PureOS #postmarketOS #UbuntuTouch

#GrapheneOS phone, my own #SearXNG search engine, my own #sharkey social media site, a number of other services thanks to #YunoHost I can feel comfortable using my own stuff at least. The amount of visibility I could have into the work stuff now is uncomfortable :neocat_think_woozy:

Techy people: do you have recs for a good airtag alternative? I'm looking for something to play nicely with GrapheneOS. #GrapheneOS

#GrapheneOS #Android #Privacy /kuk

I do not have endless free time, but I'll do a bit to promote good alternatives when I can. I recently installed GrapheneOS on a Pixel 6. Their website and resources were great. I highly recommend. #Android #GrapheneOS #privacy RT: https://grapheneos.social/users/GrapheneOS/statuses/116296896211404265

Are you considering OS's for your Android phone like #GrapheneOS or #lineageos to escape the #Android lock and #Google spying? The only tricky part is that GrapheneOS only supports Pixel phones while LineageOS supports a wider variety of vendors and phones but you may still need a generation or two down. https://lineageos.org/
