Bisher habe ich zum Austausch von Daten mit dem Handy immer die ownCloud verwendet. Jetzt teste ich aktuell LocalSend und es macht wirklich einen guten Eindruck. Damit lassen sich Dateien und Ordner im gleichen WLAN schnell verschicken. Den Client für Android gibt es im F-Droid Store und für den Computer hier https://localsend.org/de/download
Nachdem sich die Geräte gefunden haben konnte ich am Computer Dateien auswählen und an das Handy senden. Dort nur noch auf Ok klicken und los gehts

We submitted our position to the @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu's public consultation on #DMA #AI #interoperability in #Android.
Among other points, we highlighted that access to interoperability should not be tied to *any kind* of verification scheme.

For a decade I carried two iPhones: one personal, one for work. Neither ever felt at home in my Linux and BSD world.
Now it's a single Fairphone Gen6. Repairable with a screwdriver, 8 years of updates, separate work and personal profiles on one device, and it actually talks to my KDE desktop over KDE Connect.
Immich, Nextcloud, K-9 Mail, Tusky, KeePassDX, and finally GPG mail in my pocket. The camera is meh. Everything else is a clear win.

Android war für viele von uns immer mehr als nur ein Smartphone-System – es stand auch für Offenheit, Freiheit und die Möglichkeit, Apps unabhängig vom Google Play Store zu nutzen.
Genau deshalb möchte ich heute auf die Seite hinweisen:

Besonders Projekte wie F-Droid verdienen Unterstützung. Ich nutze F-Droid selbst schon länger und schätze die Möglichkeit, freie und quelloffene Android-Apps unabhängig von großen Konzernen zu beziehen.
Die geplanten Änderungen rund um die verpflichtende Entwickler-Registrierung könnten alternative App-Stores und unabhängige Entwickler massiv unter Druck setzen. Viele Organisationen aus dem Bereich Open Source, Datenschutz und digitale Freiheitsrechte warnen bereits davor.
Wer Android als offenes System erhalten möchte, sollte sich das Thema einmal genauer anschauen.

A WebRTC messenger where message content never touches a server and the push layer can’t see who’s messaging whom
Android app, solo-built. Trying to find out where the architecture breaks before I scale it.
The core idea. Messages travel through direct WebRTC data channels (DTLS/SRTP) between two phones. No server stores, reads, or relays content. Group chats use a gossip protocol, sender fans out to a few reachable members who relay onward; members who come online late fetch missing messages from any peer who has them.
The supporting infrastructure, and what each piece can see.
Signalling: needed to set up any WebRTC connection. I use a Cloudflare Worker (ephemeral, nothing persisted). The SDP/ICE payload is encrypted with the recipient’s public key before it leaves the sender, and the two participants are addressed by opaque per-session hashes. The relay forwards ciphertext between un-linkable identifiers.
Push wake-up: FCM, because Android. Sealed-sender design: the wake-up payload is encrypted to the recipient’s public key, and the sender’s identity is inside that envelope. The push layer sees who’s receiving (it must, that’s how push works), not who’s sending. The FCM request is also forwarded via a Cloudflare Worker so Google doesn’t see the sender’s IP either.
TURN relay: Cloudflare again, for restricted networks. Carries encrypted packets only, like any TURN.
The code is open source (GPLv3).

Can I overclock an android tablet with termux?
Say, by sending some value to something inside /sys/.../cpu or the likes. I have already aggressively debloated the tablet, but I like to experiment and I am not afraid to destroy the tablet since I bought it for 150 bucks at sale. Or pehaps there is some Magisk module that can do this?
The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy A9+.
