Ever since the last @Pixelix@mastodon.social update, it's been having issues with showing my pixelfed.com account... I don't know if this is a error of Pixelix, as it worked well before the last update... Or if there's is something happening with the settings of Pixelfed.com... I took a screenshot of the error, but it's a foreign language to me, one I know nothing of, so hopefully this will make more sense to the people involved... I have been having some issues with Pixelfed.com for a while now, where several of the browsers that I use for daily stuff just won't show me the Pixelfed site, always some errors... So it could be an error on their side/site, but I don't know who to contact about that... 😔 Thanks in advance for any help/updates! #Pixelix #Pixelfed #PixelfedCom

Also new with the latest Pixelix update are the default preferences for post creation. There default caption templates, post visibility and license can be defined. These preferences are then the default when creating a new post, but they can of course be changed in the post editor again. Default license does only exist for Vernissage. #Pixelix #Vernissage #Pixelfed

The latest Pixelix version adds support for those 4 different timeline views. Those views are available for all post timelines, so home, local, global and hashtag timelines. Also on the profile page and for timelines like bookmarked and liked posts. #Pixelix #Pixelfed #Vernissage

Also exclusive to Vernissage are the header image and the fields (the custom key-value entries of a profile). The header image can already be uploaded in Pixelix, but the fields are read only for now. They can be edited in the official web app of Vernissage. Editing the fields in Pixelix will come with the next update. Both of those features are compatible with Mastodon, so when watching a Mastodon profile in Pixelix it also displays the header and the fields. #Pixelix #Vernissage #Mastodon

So the android app I use to access Pixelfed is called #Pixelix - it seems to work more consistently than the official app, at least for me. They've just announced support for another federated photography based service called #vernissage which I hadn't heard of - but looks possibly more geared towards photographers than pixelfed is, with support for things like EXIF, HDR etc which I would find useful. Has anyone I know tried or used Vernissage yet? Any feedback?

Pixelix version 5.0.0 with Vernissage support is now available. This is one of the largest updates we have ever shipped. We refactored a large portion of Pixelix's architecture to support multiple platforms with different feature sets. Additionally many UI components got a design overhaul. The APK is available on GitHub. Play Store, App Store and F-Droid are following soon.
