The rather stylish Douggie the Deco Doggie outside the Burrell Collection in Pollok Park in Glasgow. One of the Maggie's Scotties in the City, it celebrates the Art Deco designs of the 1920s and was created by Michael Richardson. #glasgow #burrellcollection #publicart #artdeco #scottiesinthecity

2️⃣/2️⃣ The Jules Rimet Cup crowned football's greatest champions from 1930 to 1970. After Brazil was awarded the trophy permanently, it was stolen from the Brazilian Football Confederation's headquarters in 1983 and has never been recovered, making it one of sport's greatest unsolved mysteries. #WorldCup #FootballHistory #SoccerHistory #ArtDeco #PublicDomain #OpenAccess

A collection of beautiful turn-of-the 20th-century and Art Deco cinemas and theatres, England. Abandoned, but still their elegance and design shine through the decades of decay. #ArtDeco #History #Architecture #Photography #Heritage #Cinema #Theatre #Theatre #Abandoned

🚴⌨️🚗🛩️ From bicycles and typewriters to automobiles and aircraft parts. This old powerhouse powered neighbouring factories through the German Democratic Republic and Soviet times before falling into abandonment in the 1990s. This building is a glorious example of early Art Deco industrial design. #EastGermany #Abandoned #ArtDeco #Photography #Germany #Industrial #Industry #Factory #LostPlaces

Tucked away in the woodlands of Pennsylvania lies a unique fleet of streamlined 1930s and 1950s streetcars. These St Louis and Pullman-Standard carriages have glorious vintage Americana vibes. Many of these date to the height of the Streamline Moderne era. At this time, streamlined aerodynamic forms replaced the geometric shapes and excessive ornamentation of the earlier Art Deco style. #Streetcar #ArtDeco #Pennsylvania #Transportation #Moderne #Photography #Trams #Rust

Industrial #ArtDeco, at its finest! This abandoned powerplant plant control room in Hungary was powered down decades ago. The oval room is lit by an immense skylight, which casts dramatic light across the original green metal control panels. These walls remain lined with levers, valves, and dials. Without a doubt, one of my favourite adventures. I have visited three times now! #Hungary #ArtDeco #UrbanExploration #Photography #Explore #Abandoned

Kraftwerk P, a disused coal-fired power station in Germany. Built during the 1920s, it was intended to provide additional power during peak hours of electricity demand. Brown coal (Lignite) was supplied to the power station from nearby opencast coal mines, generating over 50 megawatts of electricity after further 1940s modernisation. #Germany #History #Abandoned #Photography #ArtDeco #Industrial #Powerplant
