I have to travel to Vienna, so I looked up my options: By train: 173,53 € non-refundable, Bahncard discount, cheapest connection, two changes. Duration: 8:52 hours - if all goes to plan. Air Austria: 110,95€ total (plus 7500 Miles and More miles) round-trip Duration: 1:10 hours This is just wrong. Today we start the long way back. It is very tricky to get to London from the Isle of Skye using public transport in one day. So instead, we take the bus back to Inverness for 2 quid and then the Caledonian Sleeper in the evening.
