The biggest threat to children's lives in western societies is car traffic. imagine 55-60 days/year with temperatures above 30C. (current average: 14 days/year.) that's what climate change will likely bring to southern Ontario by 2080.

current tree canopy favours wealthy areas. so planting should be focused in neighbourhoods with few trees.

while we're at it: replace that awful Astral street furniture with actual shade at public transit stops.
