My favourite paintings, No.7 Mary Cassatt. In the Loge (At the Opera)(1878) Mary Cassatt's paining has often been used by feminist art historians discussing the male gaze & its female counterpart (see the man gazing at the subject from a distant opera box). But it also demonstrates her command of the moment; a women (albeit a bourgeois woman) seemingly in command of her surroundings. Her focus on the life of women told stories seldom seen in the art of her time. #art #TodaysPainting #paris

Bisher läuft es gut. Wir hatten in Paris sogar Zeit für einen kleinen Umweg und Sightseeing aus der U-Bahn (hat uns ein Mitreisender im Zug empfohlen, der sofort erkannt hat, dass wir - die wir so irre Reisepläne haben - sicher nicht geradlinig in Paris den Bahnhof wechseln wollen 😅) #bahn #bahnbubble #paris

Hallo @siklist@social.cologne, Bist du denn einer der Kritiker? Es gehört nämlich nicht besonders viel Fantasie dazu sich vorzustellen, wie das obere Foto bei schönem Wetter aussehen würde: genauso. Keine Sitzmöglichkeit und der Aufenthaltsraum der Fußgänger ist auf den Gehweg begrenzt. Ich war gerade selbst wieder in #Paris . Einfach toll, wie Straßenzüge umgewandelt wurden. Petite astuce pour les utilisateurs de #velib à #Paris. Ça vous arrive régulièrement d'avoir le vélib qui reste coincé quand vous le déverrouillez ? Moi ça m'arrivait une fois sur 4 ou 5 et ça me faisait vriller. Et ben un collègue m'a donné une astuce. Il suffit de tourner le guidon du vélo vers la droite pendant que le vélib est en train de se déverrouiller et il se débloque à chaque fois. Je n'ai plus jamais eu ce problème ! Voilà. Vous pouvez reprendre une activité normale et pédaler. #velotaf
