We submitted our position to the @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu's public consultation on #DMA #AI #interoperability in #Android.
Among other points, we highlighted that access to interoperability should not be tied to *any kind* of verification scheme.
No registration, nor authorisation, nor any contractual relationships with #Google must be a prerequisite to access features in Android. @keepandroidopen@techhub.social

AI sovereignty has been a hot topic at India's AI Impact Summit. Eileen Donahoe and Konstantinos Komaitis write for Tech Policy about what governments need to do to make that a reality, without their countries becoming isolated — it's all about interoperability. "In an interoperable world, standards are power—and governments that ignore them will find sovereignty decided elsewhere," they conclude.
