I know this is weird, but it's also quintessentially Mastodon, because I need to tap the minds of a strange mix of chaos magicians, crypto-wiccans, math nerds, autists, artists, computer programmers, conlang enthusiasts, and general muckrakers. Does anybody know of a good way to generate your own "Magic Circles", sorta like the one below? I am working on my next tattoo design and I want to convey a bunch of information, densely packed in a way I can understand it and explain it to people when I show it to them... ...but I also don't want to accidentally curse myself or bind my right arm to some ancient lost deity because it just so happens that I accidentally recreated their exact sigils and signs. I've looked online and there are a few "generators" but they seem to be an equal mix of random garbage and broken jank. Any recommendations for... programs I could use to map one out, I guess? #art #magic #graphicdesign #tattoo #circles

No. 46 in my photo collection of signs of unique Spanish-language business names ending in 𝗲𝗿í𝗮: DISQUERÍA Broadly, "disco" in Spanish means "disc" or "disk" in English, including specifically an audio/video disc, vinyl record, etc., with a "disquería" being a store selling such products. Note that the 𝗰 in "disco" has changed to 𝗾𝘂 in the process of adding the 𝗲𝗿í𝗮 suffix. In Spanish, as in English, a 𝗰 followed by an 𝗮, 𝗼, or 𝘂 has a hard "k" sound while a 𝗰 followed by an 𝗲 or 𝗶 has a soft "s" sound. The last letter of the root word is dropped before adding the 𝗲𝗿í𝗮 suffix, so in this case we'd end up with "discería." But this would cause the 𝗰 to undergo a change in pronunciation from a hard to soft sound. In Spanish, a word's original pronunciation must be maintained during conjugation or when adding a suffix, so the 𝗰 must be changed to 𝗾𝘂 to maintain a hard "k" sound, giving us "disquería." Comparto esta linda tipografía modular (libre!) hecha por Fundidora incompleta, compas de la ldcv-fadu-udelar. @mai@mastodon.uy "D6 es una tipografía modular que nace de la obsesión con los dados de seis caras y encontrar en lo cotidiano herramientas expresivas. Es un archivo digital pero también letras que se pueden fabricar con dados." Consta de dos versiones, el dado con puntos y los puntos por separado, permitiendo un juego continuo entre ambas expresiones.
