Versteh ich. Datenschutz ist wichtig. Mir auch.
Aber für mich ist so eine Brille keine Überwachung. Sie ist die Chance, wieder allein Bus zu fahren.
Schreibt doch mal darüber, wie man sie baut, ohne Datenschutz zu opfern: Verarbeitung auf dem Gerät, nichts speichern, nichts in die Cloud.
Und fragt nicht nur Verbände, die von besorgten Eltern oder Juristen geführt werden. Fragt uns. Die Betroffenen. Ohne Mitleid. Ohne Ableismus.
Wir sind da. Wir haben was zu sagen.
Es gibt genug von uns.

"As Meta prepares to release new wearables, privacy fears surrounding its artificial intelligence glasses have triggered fresh lawsuits against the social media giant.
More than 70 people who bought, used or were recorded with Meta’s smart glasses have sued the social media giant, claiming their intimate and sensitive images were exposed to workers abroad who are paid to review and label photos and videos.
The contractors in Kenya work for companies that help train Meta’s artificial intelligence, according to a proposed class-action lawsuit amended in late August.
The smart glasses users, some in California, allege the gadget captured footage of themselves and family members undressing, going to the bathroom, having sex and entering passwords. In some cases, the people said they weren’t aware the camera-equipped glasses were recording."

The privacy act barely covers individuals wearing them, surveillance rules are a messy state by state patchwork, and Meta is reportedly building "super sensor" glasses that can record even when you're not actively using them. Ich werde zunehmend blind. Deshalb betrachte ich Smart Glasses anders als Menschen, die problemlos sehen. Für mich ist eine Kamera mit KI nicht einfach ein lustiges Gadget. Sie kann Schrift lesen, Dinge erkennen oder mir Informationen geben, die meine Augen nicht mehr liefern. Darum werde ich sehr deutlich, wenn andere pauschal Verbote fordern: Über eine mögliche Assistenztechnik für behinderte Menschen darf man nicht reden, als wären wir in der Debatte unsichtbar.

Wer SmartGlasses wegen dem Datenschutz verbieten will, muss logisch auch autonome Autos verbieten. Beide nutzen Kameras und Sensoren, um ihre Umgebung zu erkennen. Wer das eine grundsätzlich ablehnt, kann das andere kaum gutheißen. Darum braucht es klare Regeln gegen Missbrauch statt pauschale Verbote.

Normalerweise spreche ich selten/nie Blockempfehlungen aus, aber nach einer Diskussion mit "SchreibeEinfach" (@SchreibeEinfach@23.social) habe ich mir mal seine Posts angesehen.
Nicht nur instrumentalisiert er autistische Menschen, um es für ableistisch zu erklären, sich nicht ständig mit Smart Glasses filmen lassen zu wollen, er vergleicht die Sichtbarmachung dieser Brillen auch noch mit "Judenstern"-Armbinden im 3. Reich.
