Dang, I'm so emotional right now. Someone IRL gets me. With my new rockstar GI doctor, she had ordered two imaging to be done. I waited what I thought was an appropriate amount to schedule with Imaging, and then have done several follow ups. But I realized I was being "too much" and apologized to their front desk. I said I was scared for the reason for the one imaging, and get in my head and try to do *something* to move it along. But I would do my best to be more zen to not push them away. But instead of chiding me, they said: Oh no, no, you are all good! We totally get it and want to make sure we are all on the same page! Please don't ever hesitate to reach out. Have a great day! I'm not crying, those are water droplets from the sky. 🥹 #Doctors #Kindness

Yesterday I had an initial appointment with a neurologist that I had been very hopeful about. This doctor apparently has life goals of being as horrible and as much an invalidating bully/thug as possible. He also freely opined about conditions not in his realm, and then recorded those incorrect opinions in my permanent record all without listening to me or addressing any of my agenda items. On the positive side, I found another neurologist in another healthcare system where their bio reflects their kindness and desire for the long-term relationship. Fingers crossed that doctor is available for new patients when I call in a few hours! #Doctors

I'm slowly starting to hate #Doctolib (many #doctors are only available through this platform). Next appointment with the rural (!) doctor 19 Febr. Several phone calls with platform secretaries: aggressive dragons, wrong information, fobb-offs. Yesterday, the breakthrough: the doctor is not on holiday. Today, I was *finally* connected: 'Can you come in 10 minutes?' I gave him his lunch break because I have a longer drive and go later. Emergency rooms overloaded? Doctolib! Days lost!
